Dude... opinions are opinions. And this is exactly why the MSQ should NOT be required. Some people thing being funneled through the same quests for every single character is fun. Others would like variety in their leveling experiences.
The benefit is player retention. A lot of players feel like giving up at around 2.1, and some of them do. Then they get to 2.5 and are happy they stuck with it.
someone else needed that advice too, I love being attacked when it does not even make sense, not even quoting it, just reported it.
yes, it is not very welcoming to new players and will just get worse as they keep adding on it.
and yet I am personally attacked for trying to help suggest how the game can be more successful, makes sense

You can skip every cutscene, and this makes the levelling very fast.
Go at location-> NPC -> skip -> teleport -> kill -> return.
Jump potions are a cancer, right now I meet players who don't know nothing about their job (rotation, cooldowns etc), and they leveled and made parties with that job.
What can I expect from an instant 60?
If "you" (a generic person who wants this kind of feature) don't like levelling and learning your job and be involved with the story, please unsubscribe, because your lack of experience will be a pain for a party or a raid.
btw without the main story ff14 is really cheap. What do you do, 2 dungeons and 4 raid bosses per week? Come on...
I have 10,000 needles,
I'm not a weaver,
and I'm not scared to use them.
It is still unbearable, esp with this:You can skip every cutscene, and this makes the levelling very fast.

You have to keep going to spots like that without teleports. If it was just once or twice it shouldn't be an issue but it does it over and over and over again, it is very tedious. But I think I am done with this with the negative feedback. It does not matter what you think, it is very unwelcoming to new players. Have fun in a desert in the future if you wish, I don't, and why I am commenting like I am.
TWO WEEKS! on level 50 quests, give me a break.

So the complain is that people have to travel in the open world? It is still unbearable, esp with this:

Teleport to Dragon Head, not even 30 sec riding time to Whitebrim
Ok I can see people saying they want SE to trim the fat when comes to MSQ and filler quests but when it just comes to traveling that just people be lazy "omg I can't just teleport to the other location that in the same zone"It is still unbearable, esp with this:

It is nothing to do with BEING LAZY! it EATS too much time doing it over and over and over and over again. When you have to teleport to say grid, or whatever, then whitebrim, ( dragonhead port) to mordhona, to uldah, to whitebrim, then to the dragonhead camp (meaning having to travel from whitebrim to the minidragonhead camp just adds to the annoyance, is the reason it took me TWO weeks to clear the 50 quests on ama. Doing the travels once or twice, you have a point, but not doing it 1000 times over, that is unnecessary repetitiveness and tediousness. It has nothing to do with being lazy and EVERYTHING to do with gating for NO REASON. I was already level 60 suck on these level 50 MSQ quests. that is nonsense gating. What I said about travel is part of the reason adding to the go here, go there, pointless fetch quests. HW did not have you deal with this -.-
Why do people like to be so darn toxic on these boards? I am just trying to help the game be better. Was these posts missed and just here to blindly insult people?:
There is NO REASON to gate someone out of HW areas especially when they are level 60 because they have not done 100+ mindless, useless level 50 MSQ quests that just has you run around. It is not enjoyable, has nothing to do with being lazy and people quit over it. I do not think you can call someone lazy who made an alt chr with i270 gear, 2 relic weapons and full ironworks. (about 4 million gil in materials btw) Pointing out something I did not enjoy, and lead others to quit the game is not lazy. Trying to have the game more attractive to new comers so we are not in a desert is not lazy. Trying to bring someone down with insults that is trying to suggest ways to make the game better is toxic and insulting though.
There is a reason this thread was made:
I started a new account and i understand why most of my friends quit this game before even entering Heavensward.
I even dare to say that at least 60% of the main quests are there to just waste time.
I know this is a story based MMORPG and i like that But not this way tbh.
I just saw Heavensward quests and there are 138 main quests, i wonder how many of them are filler up.

There are people out there that think the game is just fine how it is, so it comes down to personal opinion whether it will make the game better or not.
