Did you try retracing the steps of the quest? You can't compete it without the item. Talk to the npc who was supposed to give you the earrings in the beginning.

Is there any way to abandon that quest? I believe you should be able to in the journal. Maybe it'll start you from when you originally accept the quest and get the item. I wasn't sure what you meant when you said you retraced your steps so if you already abandoned and re-acquired the quest, my apologies.

Can't abandon Main Story Quests.

I'd try an /isearch scarlet and see if anything comes up just in case it somehow got placed elsewhere, but a quick forum search shows two bug reports for the same issue back in January. No idea if they got resolved or not, but maybe a GM can pop the scarlet earring that's required for the quest into your inventory?

It's true, I can't abandon this MSQ. I've also seareched with /isearch.

You hit the nail on the head with the GM suggustion. That's literally what I need is a GM to either reset the quest, or simply give me the item. Yet it's taken them 11 of days, probably 5+ emails, and just as many in-game tickets. And I've either been flat-out ignored or brushed off. It's not like I'm asking to move mountains. I need a very simple fix that can probably be handled by any GM, but for some ungodly reason, they refuse to help me.

It's a bug that prevents a paying customer to enjoy your product, one of the few things that must be fixed the same day, period (that video is crystal clear). Any MMO that I played, if something similar happens, GM's can advance the quest to their next step no problem. Why the hell after 10 days he is still stuck there?

Just imagine if this happens to you during SB release.

The only option they gave me was to send an email. Which I've already sent 2 today, but why not a third? I'm tired of being polite and nice. I wasted 11 days of time I'm paying for, for them to do jack-shit about it. I'm just going to be pissed off. If they fix it. I'll be happy, but if not--then I guess I went out with a bang.

I didn't d/c. It just removed the item, but didn't progress the quest. =(

Try trading in another Chicken Egg to Kyokyoroon again and see if that gives you another earring to trade in.
