New EU Servers

Since as of right now there's not really any friends on my server who I couldn't part with that are against moving, and a few people I'd like to not run into ever again, I'm planning on moving. I'm an fc leader though so I'm still not sure about how to handle that, especially since I'd like to keep that on the new server, and also get us a house there. I really hope they will get the servers up before the 20th when stormblood launches, so I can prepare that whole stuff, since I'm most likely just gonna give my fc leader status to someone else and want to have time to create a new fc, level up, and hopefully grab a nice house. I also pre-ordered SB so it'd be nice to not play 4 days with probably long login queues, then transfer, then focus on settling in and only then getting to continue with SB...

Would indeed be nice to see the servers maybe coming June between the 1st or the 10th any later and theirs going to be a period where new players wanting to either start a fresh or transfer will be organising free company's or other things to that nature instead of playing through the stormblood content maybe we'll get some information in the next live-letter.

I have no interest in the EU servers as my friends are on NA servers and won't transfer.

The **ONLY** thing that would tempt me to move is cross DC contact with my friends and that includes being able to visit houses/city districts. Other than that, trying to appeal to me is going to fail hard.

I would switch to an EU Server if they implement a service that lets me take my house with me.
Loosing my house is a no go for me.

For players who own personal housing, we are planning a number of provisions including a reimbursement for the full price of the estate, and compensation for the cost of furnishings which we will add in subsequent updates moving forward.

So guessing you could just buy a new one.

If it would be so easy to get a house. Houses are mostly taken the minute the Server goes up. Its no garantee that you get a house when you switch Server.

I guess I mean very little is known on if they will even open up housing right away

Are you happy that new servers are being implemented? Does it feel necessary?
Didn't ask for it, doesn't seem necessary, but their stats are better than whatever we can theorise about.

Are you interested in transferring, at release or later on?
I'll be going by myself.

Are the incentives for transferring enough to interest you, or will you be staying where you are? Why? etc. etc.
Yes. I can take my gold with me which I'll need to set up a new house, if these servers are going to survive then someone's gotta take the leap and make initiative, maybe I'll make an EU RP server out of it, or open a PvP community there, idk yet. But the prospect of what you can do with a new server excites me. I also want to avoid what are likely to be horrendous queues in early Stormblood. Just no.

This. Plus being able to play ANY content cross data center. Even if its fates or what ever.

Maybe SE believes that with the higher ping most EU ppl on NA servers will be transfering anyways. I dunno.

Who knows, mind you, why can't we simply choose which DC we wish to do our instances on....it can't be THAT hard can it?
