At the point I think jump potions would be best for the game I also believe they should come with your purchase, like has been done in WoW. SE can make money off others I guess, but for example 5.0 will be SO MUCH content to get through that you wont see your friend in your content level for like 3 months lol. So when your friend buys the expansion they get a free potion (one, for one job only - and not a DoL/DoH).

Would also caution the use on crafters/gathers when using a mogshop version because as is they already have the profession system promoting multiple characters, with the potions it would be an approaching middle finger to those not wanting to go make a an alt and spend the cash to instantly boost their crafters to level 90. SE would make money if they had DoL/DoH potions.. but eh feels more dirty to me lol, unless they make the leveling even faster than it already is "crafts grass boots" - gains 20 levels.

As for learning perhaps they can add a really cool synopsis intro while installing, depending on duration can do a nice short intro on job options, and then part of the potion that isn't skipped is perhaps some quick /and/ fun tutorials with the last portion giving you a direction to head (work goes into making them fun lol). That way it won't be so bad when someone gets tossed forward, it still wont be perfect but its better than like "HERE IS 25 ABILITIES, HAVE FUN".

At some point unless there is massive rework on the main story I don't think "not" having them is an option, just to make sure people want to join in at later expansions. Although I understand the concern, PotD gives us a slight taste of what it would do lol. (Hence not throwing them at a wall 500 mph is good, a fun tutorial that hooks them into the game and at least adds a mattress against the wall would be nice).
