An AST spamming aspected Benefic on themselves is one that's not healing their party. Take advantage of this.

I do think it's hilarious how many players think they NEED to kill any player they come across, regardless of how well that player can keep themselves alive. On WHM I have literally stood in a corridor to a large ice while my team went ahead to beat on it. What does the other team do? Stop to try and kill me rather than proceed on to the objective or my squishier teammates. It's not like I can stop them from running past me (Well, not all of them anyway).

Because we queued for PvP not PvIce. Not that complicated of a concept.

    Or my squishier teammates

Bolded for emphasis. Plus objective-based PvP is still PvP, learn to work the objective into the how you go about it. In that example I was attacking people for the purpose of the objective (being a distraction to allow my teammates to get the clear) while they were attacking people in a manner detrimental to getting the objective. There's also attacking physical DPS at the ice, killing people to keep them from reaching it, and just plain stomping around between spawns.

Just because you're not doing nothing but blindly assaulting the first person to cross your view doesn't mean it's not PvP :P

Consider these little factors (that I regularly tell people when it comes up in matches):

The other team can't hit the ice for points if they're dead.
Between ice spawns, you're SUPPOSED to be attacking the other players. Not doing so, or trying to avoid doing so only ensures you'll get 3rd place.
If they try to camp ice, and you can wipe them out before it activates, that's points lost AND time lost as they have to run all the way back to the ice.
If they try to camp ice, you can also steal their base so they're no longer getting base ticks for points, THEN go wipe them out and that's even more points and time lost.

Because killing you means now there's a bunch of "squishy teammates" without a healer or one less healer. . . Free points.

There's a difference between being aimlessly aggressive and being an active combatant who will take advantage of any and all possible ways to score points, and it's usually the determining factor between a win and a loss.

Oh, I agree that being an active combatant is the way to go, I'd much rather being going around snagging bases and rolling over folks than sitting at A. It's just the example I cited had them being aimlessly aggressive instead of attacking intelligently. In the time they spent trying to kill me, my team took the ice all to themselves... and they didn't even manage to kill me thanks to my team coming back my way when attunement was about to run out.

It's called priorities. Sometimes the healer isn't top of the list.

I'm queue'ing up to win. Whether I'm hitting a person or ice is irrelevant, what matters is hitting the most important target.
