Heavensdub Contest (NA) - Discussion Thread

I know with screenshot contests in the past, you could have more than, say, 3 people in the screenshot in the image but only 3 people could take credit for it as far as getting credit and receiving rewards. Is it the same here, where we could have more than 3 people involved but only 3 people would be able to receive the in-game rewards? Or is there a hard limit of 3 people who can write/ voice act in this contest?

Also, regarding the "verbatim" requirement for the serious category, the Warrior of Light doesn't talk much (or at all), in the in-game script. Does this mean "stick to the in-game script verbatim for the characters who actually speak, but add whatever you think your character might say to it"? If we aren't working with collaborators, are we allowed to use the original game audio but then edit in our own dialogue for our character? Or do we have to re-dub the entire scene?

For serious entries following the script, some cutscenes have the Warrior of Light's name spoken. Do we just not speak it? Or use our own character name? Or a stand-in like 'Warrior of Light?'

Pretty sure they're super strict on the Serious category to voice only what is said.

Were technology advanced enough that anyone's character's name could be pronounced, I'm sure the XIV team would pounce on it in a heartbeat, so I would say go for it and say your name. Your own unique personality is usually the #1 thing an actual VA casting director is looking for anyway.
