Cleric stance adds no challenge but is stressful?
Once you done the fight once you know all your dps windows that's why you're always 100 percentile on fflogs?

Just because you know the DPS windows doesn't mean you know the players. Sometimes you get a poorly geared tank who doesn't know what their tanking stance is, sometimes you get a DPS who thinks the pulls are too small and slow and pulls a Leeroy Jenkins, etc... and sometimes someone just doesn't stop standing in the fire.
Knowing the fight doesn't take away the stress involved with Cleric Stance, because you'll never know the players.
You see that in the first pull if the tank is bad, if the dps is bad, you can react to dps running off, pulling a bunch of mobs, running back to the group. I guess you struggle with stance-dancing after all if that's your attitude.
I don't know about him, but as I stated, yes as a player who enjoys healing and would love to main a SCH, I am turned off by the stance dancing and having the constant urge to DPS to pull my weight.
I play the tank because I get the shit done, I know my cool-downs and rotations and I can hold down the agro pretty good.
I play the dps(SMN) again because I can perform in the higher 80% percentile DPS wise with others whom I party up with in my level range.
But I can't play my SCH and enjoy it for longer than few runs ... because stance-dancing.
No, I don't struggle with Cleric Stance. I can do it. I just don't -care- to. Like I said, I play the game to enjoy myself and relax, not to, 'Achieve,' something. If something is stressing me even a little in a passtime that is meant to be enjoyable, it's something I generally avoid where I can.
Stance-dancing is what helps make a SCH since we lack the direct healing potency of our healing peers. Stance dancing is what makes SCH fun imo since I can hit it, get shadow flare and poisons up, pop bane if needed, and go back into healing mode to refresh shield(s) just as they're falling all in once nice fluid motion.
If doing something like that is stressful to you then go as an AST or WHM and be a "heal-only" healer. Your heal potency alone should allow you to pull your weight more easily than being a SCH.
I'm the same. I'd likely main a healer more if there was no cleric stance. I like healing, I like the way it's reactive rather than following a set rotation, but cleric stance is the kicker. Not putting up with it. It's pointless and clunky, if you don't have perfect pings it will just bite you in the ass. I'm not interested in things that are pointlessly stressful either.
That's a pretty nice Elitist attitude you've got right there. How could -anyone- ever think of not healing when you put it like that?Stance-dancing is what helps make a SCH since we lack the direct healing potency of our healing peers. Sass aside, this conversation is a bit of proof that the issue with healing is much deeper than a fix could provide at this point. A lot of players enjoy different styles of healing and playing a healer, and you can't appeal to all of them. Right now we have a stable healer population, is it risk losing that to -try- to entice more people to play healers?

what is enjoyable as a non-dpsing scholar where the fairy does most of the job on her own?
Throwing a heal once in a while is enjoyable?
Or do you netflix at the same time? I am genuinely curious to know. o.o
Being able to dps means you know how to utilize your healing abilities efficiently.
So what do you play now? a DPS? To do good dps, you have to constantly push buttons and do an efficient rotation to do well.
That's definitely a lot more stress than playing a healer without using cleric stance, at least.
But I suppose since you dont wanna achieve anything and only wanna relax...you probably dont put much effort there either?
