Protip: Effeminate mancat doesn't get to decide what is better kept to oneself and what is not. As long as it is not threatening / insulting anyone directly, every kind of opinion, no matter how misinformed you think it is, should be allowed.
Also, no, not in this thread. Luckily, this isn't a requirement to post here.

I am not going to write in this 'protip' manner as I'm not 14 and trying to bicker, but maybe the mancat you are speaking of wasn't deciding anything for anyone. Rather offering an advice on how to behave. A misinformed opinion can still be delivered in a nice manner, no matter whether it is the internet or not. But regardless, it speaks the most about the poster themselves in the end.Protip: Effeminate mancat doesn't get to decide what is better kept to oneself and what is not. Although, I would rather offer that guy an advice on how to use punctuation.

Ultra Protip: Calm down.

"Mr. Misinformed" wasn't rude to anyone in my opinion. While their punctuation is indeed questionable, the manner in which they stated their opinion was not.
Actually, this is as tame es it gets when different opinions on this topic clash on the internet.
To me, it seemed like this:
And this is not how a forum works. That's what made me reply to the mancat.
Also, let me reiterate this: I am not trying to put words in someone else's mouth.

You say while literally putting words into my mouth, or at least my quote box.
I don't see how his post or yours are any less rude than if you were to go into the 'Show your Lalafell' glamour thread and try to start a debate about why it's bad to make a Lalafell character in the first place. The purpose of this topic is posting themed glamours and commenting on them, not debating whether or not we should wear these glamours at all.
It's not that your opinions are inherently offensive, but rather that this is not the appropriate place for them. If you're really burning with the need to talk this out, the 'Post New thread' and 'search' buttons are right there at the top of the forum, just waiting for you to click them. If you get the debate started, I promise I'll be there with bells on.
Calling me 'the mancat' is such a transparent attempt to get my goat it's actually kinda sad, though.

I didn't post here to comment on whether you guys should wear this stuff or not (I don't care about that as long as you stay out of my sight), I commented here because you basically told Blackbird1 to shut up.
You seem to have mastered the art of sugarcoating, but even so, your post still gives off that foul stench of false moral superiority and whenever I smell it, I will comment on it.
Oh, don't worry about the mancat thing. I do that not only for you, but for almost every mancat.
Strangely enough, my own mancat thread got deleted after you took the time to reply to me....
/think....

Just ignore SilkaN.
If you feel people are posting inappropriately in your thread, adding nothing to it but rudeness and spite, then report the post and move on. As the author of the thread you do have the right to protect it and maintain its integrity. That said, those who disagree with your thread do have the right to voice their dissenting opinions, but in a civil manner. I'd suggest reporting a hostile response with a valid point, quoting the thread, re-writing the quote portion to be more civil and highlight the concern, and then respond to it.
So if someone replies...
I'd say report it, and reply to it, changing the quote to:"This is the dumbest idea ever, I don't want to see your fetish get valuable development time over actual content!"
Address their point rather than their rudeness. Take the higher ground, be the better man. Don't let them get you down either. Your thread is fantastic!"I do not believe it is a valid idea to make these changes rather than have developers working on gear and dungeons that all players have access to."
