Maybe they used spineshatter to get in close (if they were lagging behind)? So many bosses are stun immune that I'm totally used to using leg sweep on cool down, such that avoiding it when things need to be stunned is a pain.![]()

Stun is part of the DRG rotation and it's early in the rotation, but I can't see a DRG using it during a big pull while the tank is still gathering up the mobs. I've got nothin'.
I had a 60 roulette the other day where my teammate informed me I, the WHM, was top dps. (He was tanking.) Aside from that it's been pretty uneventful barring some sad pvp stories.
There needs to be a "tales from Feast and Frontlines" thread.
I would only add that dps and healers should cluster near but not inside the first meteor drop before it hits to both make it easier for melee to start dpsing the tear as soon as possible amd to make the healers' life easier with respect to aoe heals actually landing on everyone. If someone dies before everyone else in there it's usually because they either were standing inside a meteor drop or they were too far away to get healed by the aoe heal spam.
I was on SMN getting lights from A1S and I forgot I never cleared it on this character. I was like oh maybe people like having the bonus (No one said anything about it)
Fast forward to some drop and replace. We get a brd who was doing little, song wise and not having the scene skipping thing on. I really expect if you are in a farm party you enter with the scene skipping on, or if you forget, turn it on when someone brings it up. So the first one with this person I ask them to turn it on and ask them to skip scenes. (I was not expecting them do it mid run, be nice but I am not going to pressure people like that) However next run they still was pulled in scene. So I ask again to put the scene skipping on and now I am examining them and watching their movements more.
Person has 2 accuracy melds on boots both with +0 effect. Now I can understand doing it once but twice? It reflects the person does not know what they are doing. So I was trying to explain how to clean it and that there is a way to get rid of the melds. again I am met with no reply and no talking. So next one again they did not scene skip. So because I suspected their damage was low I thought it was due to not enough accuracy. So before the next one I ask how much accuracy do you got, I hear the answer "enough" Usually replies like this shows a person is arrogant or some kind of unwilling to cooperate. So I hit I was not ready and asked again, and they said 712 or something. It did not seem right but I said fine lets just go in and ill try this again. So I did nothing about 20-30 sec I am off focus more then anything but it gave me opportunity to see how quickly I can pass them on the enmity meter to get some kind of reflection of damage.
Now I know the enmity meter is not the best reflection but from what I seen with meters on steams, SMN tends to be the most misleading (they can be 3rd or 4th on it but top DPS due to pet) So when I pass this brd before deathflare on a single target, despite the head start, I knew the issues where severe. I was not happy with them ignoring my request to talk to me at all with the scene skipping then poor dps on top of it. It finally boiled over when I said, "xxx brd name, is slowing us down too much, I do not want to party with them" and I was told by them to ef off. I really felt this was uncalled for since of all the ignoring to talk to me prior and this jsut made things worse.
So on exit I was trying to get across they do not really understand what a farm PT means with the skipping cut scenes and such, I guess the low degree of confrontation ( I seen much worse then this >.>) caused people to leave. The leader chewed me out saying "WE GOT CLEAR FOR YOU"
Sorry I do not agree getting clear on a second account while I am most likely top DPS (I got the 1A on the second boss once and had 2-4 high bar often) means I have to bend backwards for a lazy player that refuses to cooperate. I tried to get a new pt and we cleared twice, even though 2 tanks and 2 healers made it ruff to feel fast enough. I looked at pf, seeing that person seeking for more members with that *** BRD still there when I did 2 runs with a non-optional pt. Even with being ok with the new pt, I logged out of the game due to frustrations with the party before. Also to put more on my frustrations, a 50 roulette trial went poor because of 2 bad tanks, my co healer had problems staying out of bad after dying the first time and kept dying leaving me to solo heal last 25% with 2 bad tanks. My expert was with a mnk that single DPS on trash pulls, pulling hate on that one monster and pretty much being useless outside boss fights. I bought up the issue several times, asking for help because I do not like being the solo damage source for damage.. (tank DPS? healer? mnk peeling hate off one monster?) then I made a mistake with Tri-disaster >contagion> bane, I did not have stacks and pulled hate on the monster I Tri-disaster on (wtf???) that is all I did and I died from having hate on it. No one spoke in the dungeon except one person at the end said something about thanks for the dungon and it was not by the MNK. Also there needs to be a way around of chain pulling and loot locking out the kick function. UGH
For the first time ever? I logged out of a game purely of.. "I can't take this anymore" If someone talks to you... talk back? what happened to the social aspect?

I just call it bad form in a 4-man and usually the DPS that stun the lob mob is usually the "try hard" who doesn't know how effective his aoe rotation is. Gotta love the MNKs, DRGs, and NINs who swear to god that their aoe rotations suck so bad that they should never use them...those are the types of players who stun mobs on a running pull lol.
Speaking of running pulls...
Fun story: I got booted by a preformed party last week right before the final boss of Baelsar's Wall because I cast Miasma 2 on the final massive running pull. I did so,because I almost always do unless the tank isn't doing well. I've never had a complaint before. Despite being great at keeping hate even with by high burst during the platform add phase, the tank somehow lost hate on one mob to my pet on the way and threw a fit, refusing to use enmity moves on the pack of mobs. I think their healer also didn't heal after I pulled hate, or just couldn't keep up. Either way, I died, but not before killing most of the mobs with Deathflare, including the one my pet had pulled off the tank, leaving the others to mop up two slivers of mobs remaining. After, the tank accused me of harassment because I cast a spell on mobs before the pull was done, told me I don't understand what a pull is, accused me of being a horrible player because I have a mentor flag up, and threatened that they were a preformed party so their playstyle was more important. Right before the kick they added that they hoped the Miasma 2 was worth the dps wait. All over a single cast right before the last boss.
I'm convinced that they had planned to do this regardless and were just using the one cast as an excuse. But I got a good chuckle out of it because my dps queue was only 2 minutes for the next run and 4 minutes for their run. And the bonus was that the next party I got had much better/nicer players in it, and we got Sohm Al instead so it was a win in my books. Also, the cross server blacklist feature is a wonderful thing, since I will never have the pleasure of playing with them again.

I love these stories. I remember my first dungeon run, Sastasha. I got KO'd and I didn't know that if I press and hold a button I can respawn. Turns out I could not even rejoin the final boss battle cause I got lost, and also I did not do my healing the right way. fortunately, I fixed it thanks to key tips from my FC who were on a party with me clearing Deepcroft, of which the Tank (who also happens to be the FC leader) also started out as a healer herself before she moved into being a tank. I never forgot how learning from my first-ever run in this game allowed me to drastically refine my playing style that allows the later runs I did with others to be completed faster and without any delay. (Also helps that I skipped cutscenes as well, but that's a different story.)
"But please. Call me Bae."
The White Witch of Okami Rojo.
OMG, I just... can't believe this just happened.
Just came out of a Dun Scaith run as a SCH. I was a little unease to go in at first because we all know how that place is for healers, a nightmare. Still, I decided to join since it would give some light for my relic.
First boss went out fine. Almost no deaths except for one single DPS who fell out of the ship. Since not many heals were required, I managed to DPS a lot on that boss.
Second one, a couple of screw-ups here and there, but nothing too big. People only died to failed mechanics but everything went out smoothly. And then.... it happend. A DRG typed on the chat: "Hey SCH, you wanna try helping to heal?"
I was honestly shocked by that. Nobody was dying cause of lack of heals. To be honest I felt really offended by that. Since I completely ignored him at first and continued to heal and dps, he followed a couple mins later with: "K then, I'll get the COMPETENT healer to do it XD" which I replied with "and a competent dps does more dps than me". And I said that cause the funniest part of the story is that I was actually outdps'ing that dragoon.
After that, we got to Scathach and... that was a mess. Everyone died after her ultimate cause I believe.... failed dps check? My own alliance had everyone survive cause I crited a deplyed adlo (which was pretty cool). But even then, one of the other 2 alliances wiped and I had to res their healers... twice! And my own co-healer as well. I even used LB3 as the last person standing on our alliance and ressed everyone. But even that was not enough to salvage the run.
And after the wipe, that same DRG wrote a final snarky comment: "You should've healed". And I was dismissed.
I so out of words right now......
I did my best to push dps AND keep everyone alive on that run. And a Damage Dealer who was doing less than me actually did that. I'm so shocked. I'm not even gonna try to report them nor anything since I know better that nothing is gonna come out of it....
Omg... I feel so... violated. Indignation? I think that would be a better word.
I'm never gonna heal in that place again.
