There's some interesting results in here. I haven't run the benchmark yet but I don't hold much faith in them because they tend to lack the problems associated with the real game (ie lots of players using big abilities at once). I recall getting a ludicrously high result for ARR but still suffering terrible frame rare drops with the hardware I had (which was significantly higher than the recommended stats). We shall see. I'm worried that those who are getting scores around 5k will find the game unplayable in reality for anything other than gathering or crafting.
i get around 70-80 FPS+ in idyllshire with a 6700k
i7 12700k/EVGA RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra
yeah, all these people saying they get high fps and i'm starting to think it's my monitor. on my end, no doubt the issue was the cpu. i upgraded in stages, from a 1080 to a 1080 Ti. i was getting 40 fps with a 1080 Ti! then i upgraded from a 6700 to a 7700K, and my fps shot up to 70.
it isn't about the graphics. it's about the number of people on the screen. i've got an ultrawide screen, so that might be why it's just me. i didn't know!
it is worth pointing out that the difference between a 6700K and a 7700K is marginal. they'll get pretty much the same fps. i had a regular (non-K) 6700. the difference between that and a K is about 23%, so big difference there.

Tfw your PC is so bad it won't even run the benchmark... My husband was able to but he got a score of a little over 1000. T_T

What size and resolution? I range in the 66-68 FPS ( large crowds ) in Idyllshire with a 27" @1440P, 4790K cpu, and a 1080 SC.
Depending on the size and resolution, that will tank fps pretty fast. On the benchmark I averaged 92FPS.
well, see, that's the thing. my monitor has less resolution than a 4k. it's 3440x1440. but it's a 34" ultrawide. 21:9 aspect ratio. so i can see more of the game than a 4k. it's got more to render and i can see more people in idlyllshire. that's why i'm thinking it's my monitor. because other people who said they get good framerates, well they have a standard 16:9
Yeah, I'm leaning towards the monitor as well after seeing the specs. The rest of your setup is very strong.well, see, that's the thing. my monitor has less resolution than a 4k. it's 3440x1440. but it's a 34" ultrawide. 21:9 aspect ratio. so i can see more of the game than a 4k. it's got more to render and i can see more people in idlyllshire. that's why i'm thinking it's my monitor. because other people who said they get good framerates, well they have a standard 16:9
Ram/cpu is the weak spot in my setup. Hopefully this fall I can upgrade.
It's certainly your monitor. You're pushing a lot of pixels. I just upgraded from a 780ti to a 1080ti on a 4770k and still dip into the 70s in a very crowded idyllshire (2560x1440). I'm pegged at 144fps in all instanced content though and that's good enough for me.well, see, that's the thing. my monitor has less resolution than a 4k. it's 3440x1440. but it's a 34" ultrawide. 21:9 aspect ratio. so i can see more of the game than a 4k. it's got more to render and i can see more people in idlyllshire. that's why i'm thinking it's my monitor. because other people who said they get good framerates, well they have a standard 16:9
Pleasantly surprised
