Given the animation "jumps" between targets (it first appears on the PLD, then one DD, then another DD), i'd say it's a simple iteration of chainheal, in place of either Medica/Cure III
What about esunaga?

Possibly. Though those casted on didn't appear to have any detrimental effects present, and I would assume if it was an AoE Esuna, it would clearly show a status effect being removed. I'm also not sure how much useful utility AoE Esuna would bring to a raid. I do know that I would love it in 4-man content.

When I look closer, the effect looks like an AoE Tetragrammation. Perhaps a way to give WHM a version of Indom? All the speculation is KILLING me.Possibly. I think whm might get Reflect and it's possible that was what was shown in the benchmark. It's perfect imo cause it's a traditional whm spell and could be a huge raid dps increase when used at ideal points in a fight.

I won't lie - I don't care what they get, I'm still going to main the WHM-train. As a PLD player as well, however, it may be too much to hope that if we are getting an AoE ability, it isn't something with a ridonkulous cast time.
