I actually hope that he takes a role similar to Ramuh, yes he's a primal but he doesn't wanna mess everything up and sees things reasonably and sorta helps the WoL.

On a different note though! I kinda want him to have an option in his fight, for you to pay him a large amount of gil and you can skip his fight.

Yeah i guess, I just hate seeing powerfull beings from earlier games turning into faceroll bosses in 14. The Gil part would just entice some people to buy gil to skip this :P

I hate to be 'that girl', but a little reality check is needed here though. Just because it's in the benchmark does not necessarily mean it's going to be in the actual game/expansion itself - benchmarks after all are there to tax your system to the limit (remember the ARR benchmark trailer and the free roaming Ifrit in Central Thanalan?), and so the program trailer is filled with lots of fun stuff with fancy effects to push your system to the limit while giving the user something interesting to look at which probably won't actually make it into the game itself.

Or plans might change at the eleventh hour and something that was shown in the benchmark and that was actually planned for inclusion, is quietly dropped and never spoken about again (like the aforementioned open world Ifrit fight).

Trailers also lie after all.

Of course that doesn't mean Yojimbo is not going to be a part of Stormblood, but it's best to pull back a little and apply a little common sense here. As they say, we'll find out soon enough.

New fight for high level gear..only problem is in true Yojimbo fashion you need to pay to get into the fight. lol

Maybe he bodyguards random battles. Appears during trials, raids, even boss fights. Added threat to the fight by supporting the boss until defeated for extra rewards. Literally a hired killer.
