Benchmark is telling us something...

I've done just that and it didn't end well. Why I spread it now and why you see some aftermarket coolers with a thin square off paste on them and not a dot.

I've never had an issue. Do it this way on servers all the time. Just have to make sure you have enough on there so it actually spreads.

I applied enough and it didn't spread evenly. Large amount on one side and less on the other. Current computer I built has been running w/o issues, with OC for almost 3 years by spreading it myself.

I run with pretty much everything maxed currently and used my same current game settings for the benchmark. Only thing not uber is my resolution (1600x900) since my monitor is kinda old and was never a top of the line gaming monitor to begin with.

So I ran the benchmark myself and I got this result:



Now it says the score is "extremely high"... but I have no idea what the score compares to. Is there some sort of breakdown somewhere I can read that kinda gives more info on what the score actually means?

I've had mine OC'd for years as well, and i just did the dot :P

It's unfortunate that a lot of people need to upgrade their PC's for Stormblood, but this is also a bit of a wake up call since if you need to upgrade for this you'll need to for more modern games as well. Good thing I rebuilt my system a few months back.

My video card is a 750ti that was showing its age, had it for a good 3 years, I'm content with upgrading 'cause I can't even play Nier and when FFXV comes to PC I got no chance of playing it on high with my current build.
