4.0 Job them Armor sets

Another wacky Summoner outfit. I swear, the designer(s) must not know what to do with this job when it comes to designing the outfit.

What the hell are they drawing inspiration from to come up with this garbage? Can you design something other than a detached, skimpy toga?

Edit: Maybe I should look on the bright side...at least SMN isn't wearing dad jeans and old man loafers like SCH.

I like the Job AF, all of them the only downside is no tattoo for females on Monk AF. I noticed the Moonfaire chest item has no tattoo for females either, but males do have it. It could be this is a Japanese culture thingy?

Anything else from Summoner artifact sets (including the other headpieces) is completely irrelevant to the Summoner's identity. If you don't like the look of the "toga" (lol) pieces, then just glamour something else to your body, arms, and legs that's more to your taste.

I saw DRK at fan fest I think but it was hand drawn. That freaking DRK and PLD armor is sexy as hell.

They honestly should be fine, as the Male AF version is masculine and distinctive enough from the female one (at least in art):

I also faintly remember Devs receiving feedback about Heavensward WHM AF in particular and how they were going to do a better job of making distinctions in genders in the future. Don't quote me on that though.

It's those who play male avatars but would like the option to wear the female version (or one as similar to it as possible) for their character or those who play females and get tired of cosplaying as pretty princesses that will probably be disappointed. You can't please everyone though and there is a glamor system to help with that.

I'll be generous and say maybe half of the old jobs have nice new sets, but the other half don't look as good as their older artifact sets. I think samurai is the clear winner here with very beautiful and intricate and distinctive design.

A segmented, asymmetrical outfit resembling a toga. Detached sleeves. Horn. Legs exposed.

These designs wouldn't be so offensive if it weren't so impossible to glamour with. Unless you keep to the set pieces, it will look incredibly disjointed and wonky.

I remember hearing/reading about something like that. I'm just not sure they are actually making male/female versions of all the AF gear? But I guess they would have to in order to implement that idea.

Those are the exact peeps I was referring to And I know there are females out there as well who don't want to be princesses. However, the current glam options are currently in favor of those who want to look like princesses since the healer/mage gear constantly released are oversized robes that are gender neutral. With this AF, WHMs won't have to glam over it for a more feminine appearance. I've yet to use AF as glamour, and with this set, the probability is VERY high that I will.

But yeah, you're right. You can't please everyone, but I am happy with a lot of these new sets.
