Dye-related items can be no longer crafted?

Hi all,


Now that most of dyes are no longer available through gathering based on 1.19 patch note. Does this mean all dye-related items are current not possible to synthesis?

I was trying to gather material for "Sheepskin Skirt" which requires Mole-brown Hempen Cloth (recipe contains Midnight-black Dodo Leather Dye which can no longer be gathered). Does this mean all the dye-related recipes are now terminated?

I'm sorry if someone has already brought this up.

Any remaining dyes can be used to make the dyed cloth needed to make the Dated gear (Sheepskin Skirt is now Dated Sheepskin Skirt). You won't be able to gather dyes to make additional dyed cloth, however. Dated items don't have materia slots, and we don't know their fate in 1.20, so I'd recommend using the materials you have left over and working toward using the new non-Dated gear instead. That way you can gather materials for them, they're much simpler to craft, and they can be melded.

Ha!! Thanks for making things clearer. I just wish there is an official site for recipe. Now I have to cross check between FFXIV and YG, only to find out that most of the ingredients needed are out of date from 1.19 patch. >_<

This site is updated with new recipe. Many people mentioned about it on the forum so I had to bookmark it.

And though Lodestone doesn't provide official recipe site, there's a section where you can check recipe. But I doubt it has EVERY recipe. Maybe they plan to add more recipe later.

They have all the new ones, just not the old ones.

Unfortunately the lodestone doesn't list the stats of the items in question. So it's still necessary to look up on a fansite to see if that spear you're making is level 16 or 19 for example :P

If you were lucky enough and saved your old dyes, you can make the most of them now. Dated dyed items are selling like hot-cakes now! Especially the low level ones.
