My friend who only has a trial account wants to buy the complete package, I am looking at the preorder page and I see this.

How do you actually purchase this? I cannot find the purchasable product anywhere!

There are no pre-orders for that, as It won't be released until after Stormblood launches.

You get a code emailed to you for early access and download the game patch instead of installing it from a disc. That's how it worked when I pre-ordered HW physical.

Hello there folks!

So, my question is about the Steam version of Stormblood. I want to purchase the Stormblood Pre-order on Steam for a friend as a gift (as they purchased ARR through Steam). However, she is Australian/Oceanic, while i am English/European. Would Steam give her the appropriate license for her copy of FF14, or would it give her an EU license as i'm the one purchasing?

nope, you just need the code. I'm sure the game installs quicker from disc. Which is good, as my laptop now doesn't even have a disc-drive.
