...and I'm not terribly sure what you're getting at by claiming that the Dreadwyrm set has ornamental looking wings. Yes, it does - but then the angel/devil outfits also have ornamental wings as well so pretending as if they're somehow on a completely different level just comes across as deliberately stretching the truth. Furthermore, my previous post was meant to shed light on the simple fact that angelic/demonic aesthetics aren't being shoehorned in for cheap amusement because they already exist in FFXIV and have shown up in pretty much every major title in the series.

Are you going to pretend for the sake of your argument that you see no visual difference between full blown- meant to look like they're a part of you- angel wings and the small gilded wings coming out of the Dreadwyrm outfits?

I already gave the ornamental looking wings a thumbs up, because they're just that- ornamental looking.! And becoming a Succubus for 30 seconds =/= all of Idyllshire standing around posing as half angel/devils. Sorry if you're stretching for that.

There are full on succubus horns that you can acquire from the Gold Saucer, amongst other things. Wings aren't going to make the game any more cringeworthy, when there are already far more cringeworthy outfits out there, including those available through dungeons. If anything, they're more aesthetically pleasing.

I'm saying that we've already nosedived into the worst recesses of it. I'm failing to see where the cringe here lies. There are outfits I would love to have never been added, but wings - an aesthetically pleasing costume - isn't something I would be averse to seeing.

I support this, and there are two good reasons for anyone to support this assuming the goal is to always aim for more glamour options.

1) No dev resources are taken when making these available, because they have already been implemented for every race on other game clients.

2) The outfits fit FFXIV, as there are already some wing and horn models in game:

To all the people against this because kmmo and what not, it wouldn't be a big deal and I think you are overreacting.


If they added this silly outfit the same thing that always happens will happen. About 20-100 people (depending on your server) will all buy it then wear it and do some dance emote in Ul'dah for about 48 hours then the vast majority will never wear it again. Its fine, relax.

Well, I know it's all just personal taste but I'd love to see them show up. I'd glamour them now and then for sure. I mean, I know they're gonna annoy some people, but at least they're giving us a lot of options. After playing WoW since 2007, I'm quite excited to see so many glamour options, and not just limited to "raid tiers", "clown vomit", and "Oh yeah, also that one Halloween event, sort of." Sorry if that's just me, I just love my options, even the "tacky" ones.

Really would like those coats without the wings... the coats look awesome. Don't suppose the wings could be classified as some other kind of item slot for glamour? Hands? Head?

If we're forced to keep the wings, SE should do another Free DLC by sponsoring with Red Bull. Buy a 6-pack of Red Bull, get your Angel/Demon Outfit.
