The time you took complaining or trying to get your potd nerf supported, you could have spend in game explaining the boss's mechanics to the people. Or since you're not willing to run with "idiots" as you so friendly pointed out, could always solo the first set of floors 1-50, and continue with 51-100. IF you die, the only person you can blame would be yourself, much easier then being pissed at others and pointing fingers when you can clearly point out the source right away.
No to nerfing potd.
Do you want player base to get even worse? ? Honestly. Just yell at stupid people until they unsub or improve
Leveling on a new server with a friend who's new to Final Fantasy half my team died to this boss, only me and the tank seemed to know how to dodge her mechanics though i was worried the first Black Honeymoon would wipe us, we survived and didn't get hit by a single mechanic after and finished the fight between us.
This boss doesn't need nerfing I worry POTD is causing player stupidity with how easy it is to complete and the first sign of an actual mechanic is destroying them.
PotD definitely IS the cause, my roulette queues have been gradually getting worse with a very big consistency since they added floors 51-100 while nerfing floors 1-50.
Say what you will but this is not a coincidence.
Im on red alert mode whenever i see another player with kinna/padjal weapons joining roulettes.
And more often than not, my anticipation turns out to be right.

Can clear that fight solo as any class, asking for a nerf is disgusting
I get the feeling that the large majority of people that replied to this topic don't even understand the issue at hand here. I have faced those very circumstances before, where I told the party the main mechanic to look out for before the fight began, and yet, all three of them got hit by the Cold Feet skill, and then Edda eventually killed everyone.
In case some of you are not aware, her Black Honeymoon skill hits everyone (it cannot be dodged), and its damage increases based on the letters that are lit up on the floor. They lit up as people get hit by the In Health skill (I think), which *will* happen if they couldn't avoid Cold Feet. As such, you eventually take fatal damage from Black Honeymoon when all letters on the floor have been lit up, even if it's only because other people messed up.
To the people that answered that the fight is easy because it can be soloed, you are missing the point. It's easy if you know what to do, but when other people in the party mess up, the boss hits you for fatal damage regardless of how perfect or not you are. As such, that fight is easier solo, and may be downright impossible in a group, if your teammates don't perform well. You are basically at the mercy of the rest of your party, even if you could otherwise solo the fight.
In my opinion, the real problem with that fight is the "one wipe and you're done" approach of Palace of the Dead. You have to go through the whole 41-50 floor set all over again, even if it's not your fault in the slightest. I believe that a potential improvement would be to allow a second try if wiping against a boss.

So you supprt dumbing down the game to cater to slow learners? I've been there as well. 4 wipes in a row. An as such i can see it's the lack of skill. These players won't improve, and you don't care. You just want to get a clear and move on. Well ok. Buuuut now those players still haven't learned anything. I say the game needs to force players to improve, and having a wipe mechanic is one way of doing that.
That's the thing... You can clear it solo just fine, but any idiot can wipe you if he'll take damage, accidentally or on purpose, because the boss uses party-wide attack as punishment. It should be nerfed in the way that only people who don't turn away or respect mechanics are killed.
Please god no. PotD is easy enough already. People need to learn mechanics, not whine for nerfs because god forbid you have to do more than press 123.
