Not really my story, but as a WHM, I got into a party in progress and was immediately asked if I had any healing skills. Apparently the last healer had no healing skills on their skill bar. They tried to be a DPS.

This would have been a horror story if it wasn't intentional - pf group to help a new tank get through Anti-tower. I'm not actually sure they met the minimum ilvl of 170 .. the rest of us were all 260+ .. the pld had several thousand fewer hit points than the rest of us and was taking harder hits! Aggro was .. interesting. But everything was dying so fast it barely mattered, lol.

Not a Healing Story as I signed up as PLD, but it would have been if I went with my WHM (main). Entered group in progress and was told to use Sword Oath because "Bard tank is a thing". Had no interesting tanking OR healing that drivel.

I don't believe it matters given any tank going DPS in place of a so called Bard-Tank has no noticable benefits and would restrict Healers regardless. Bit of fun in low-end content where it matters less, sure, but as a Tank who prefers to Tank and a Healer who actually enjoys contributing DPS, let's just say I'll rarely be in the mood for that shenanigans regardless of where it takes place. Truthfully, I don't remember. I could tell straight away that the people in question would have either kicked me or given an earful if I threw on Shield Oath and wrecked their fun.

Tried out pvp on my astrologian, cleric stanced grayed out, move cursor read cleric stance is unavailable in pvp. Never entered in pvp again with my healer.
Did Brayflox a week back I was on my Sch, my wife on her BLM. Tank was NEW as new can be and failing/afking constantly. Tank aside my issues relates to the MONK that was with us, after the 3rd wipe on the final boss. The Monk asks for Leeches or Esuna in chat(see where this is going). I respond "I am a sch I dont have esuna" (I was unaware at this time that leeches was a level 40 spell so that answers that.) Monk replies back "Get it" Me: *Facepalm*

That, unfortunately, is the main pain for scholars in Brayflox. It seems a big oversight given how much those poison stacks can add up. You can still use antidote potions though... if you know about the need ahead of time.
I am going to make SCH my first healer I level when I get done with my WAR, and I have a question on this point (and I know nada about playing a SCH) - what about the Selene pet and Fey Caress? SCH happens at 30, and Selene replaces Summon II, and Fey caress is a level 20 spell. Am I misunderstanding how that all works?
Just curious, because Brayflox specifically would seem to put SCH's in a bind.
