Not bothered, too used to it. It's an online game, it's expected. Are you saying you would honestly expect random people to join a wedding and not mess about? Hell, being invited randomly to a wedding of someone you don't know kinda says "We aren't taking this wedding seriously anyway"

I get the impression you believe online gaming is populated by upstanding people who are kind, nice and excuse themselves when they flatulate. Suffice to say, that is not the case. This may be a sweeping statement, but in general there are various degrees of asshattery, hidden in every corner of the realm. If the internet is any measure, a large percentage of players enjoy having fun at the expense of others - especially strangers - who, by and large, are too gullible. Would you invite random people to your wedding in real life? Some people get their kicks off the misfortune of others and are doubly emboldened by a measure of anonymity.

Is it fair? No. Let this be a lesson learned...

i don't disagree with you, but it's pretty crappy that instead of expecting people to be less appalling we're told "you deserved it" because sometimes we want to have faith in people. like the guy whose FC was trashed and had 100m gil stolen from. yeah, he could have prevented it, but instead of being bothered, he just gets bashed about it. they STOLE something and HE got crap for it. it's sad.

Why would anyone be bothered? He invited random people in an MMO to an event that I assume he wanted to be fun and run smooth. You don't have to be an MMO vet to know that if you don't know people in game, don't trust them.

I was thinking of doing the same thing but will probably just shout on Hunting Linkshell to prevent a similar occurrence at mine. Sad that people would do this at something special like a marriage.
