    Oh I see what your saying see I never played before Hw so when I do the trial roulette now I just look at the weapons as glam, but your right a weapon dropped their and you get rings and stuff in the extreme along with the birds. At the time was the weapon any good in the hard mood would it be the like say like the zur blade now, I wonder if that would effect the extreme moods if people could get an easy weapon in just the hardmood. But Im not exactly sure because I dont know how things worked at the time when they did things with three different versions

    I never go back to trials after get all weapons from them, since, welp, there is nothing to do.

    Trials needs something to be relevant one week before they come out.

    EX primals are my most favorite content... PLS no. Putting them in dungeons would get rid of the challenge. I could see them becoming a part of some open world kinda thing possibly on a much larger scale similar to odin and behemoth, now that would be fun but I hope ex primals are here to stay and continue into 4.0

    I would prefer a removal of Main Scenario roulette than removing Trials.
    Most are mandatory for main story progression and the few that aren't still have some function to them (Relic quest).
    Making them bosses of a Dungeon, while possible, would be not much more different than just giving them their own instance except that now you have to devote even more resources to craft these dungeons, adding mobs and mini bosses along the way and then the Primal and its mechanics as well.

    Seems like more work than less if you ask me.

    I'd have to say nah on this topic. I enjoy trials the way they are. I would argue that putting them in dungeons kills the immersion more than it helps it. I mean, is anyone really immersed in a dungeon anymore? It's subjective, I know, but bosses like Fenrir are less memorable in this game for me because they're in dungeons and don't have a trial of their own. Whereas Thordan, nidhogg, Titan, Shiva and the others are much more memorable to me because they are their own instance. The purpose is to beat them and them alone which amps up the tension and makes them seem like primal entities. Of course, this is all subjective to the individual and this is just my two cents.

    It would be help if the normal modes still had drops. Wouldn't even have to be relevant, stat-wise, just stick some accessory with meh stats but a unique model in the chest to give people a reason to bother. Make it a different color for each class (but not actually class-locked) like Coil and old crafted/aetherial accessories to give them a reason to bother more than once.

    I agree if its no drops at all they shouldnt even exist at and just have only the extreme version and the story instead of a trail normal mood version that doesnt teach you a thing for the actual extreme mood. Im sure making a normal mood for zur, sep, sophia, was a totally waste of resources when they could of just made an extreme mood only.

    It's just a casual fight entirely for the story narrative. It's only as elaborate as it is because they make the extreme mode which has a replayable purpose. I seriously doubt it takes much development to turn off some mechanics or change a few things.

    I don't think it needs any other purpose than it has right now. The hard mode introduces the fight and fits into the MSQ as a trial.

    Otherwise, the EX modes could use some more incentive. I think the currency reward could be buffed a bit but most of all, they could add a weekly like they did in ARR.
    The old weekly was for a weapon though, which doesn't help much (same issue - only need to do it once). It should reward something like Mhachi Matter or the upgrade items so that it's worth doing weekly.

    I wouldn't mind if the story mode dropped some minor equipment, but I do kind of like that it's specifically a story instance. You're not there to farm, winning the battle is the only goal.
    Maybe I'm weird, because I just like doing the Trials Story and Ex because they're fun fights. Ex definitely deserves rewards but I still do it after I don't need it. Story instances aren't dead and people always help out so it's not an issue they don't drop anything once people pass through it.

    More currency reward(lore/scripture) is always good though, so time is compensated a bit more. Why does Palace of the Dead give more than Zurv Ex?

    Which is a bad design choice, since these are required to progress the MSQ or sidestory quest, and yet have no incentive for doing them more than once. It's not awful now, but in a year or two, trying to get a group to clear these trials is gonna be a nightmare unless you can get some friends together, or get lucky with trial and mentor roulette filling your group for you.

    It wouldn't take much, just a few shiny objects of questionable practical value; the fanbase is quite easily motivated by glamour.
