I'd be more sympathetic towards wanting Viera as a race if the primary motivator wasn't always...this.

I've heard people defend them on these forums, but it sounds an awful lot like "I read Playboy for the articles" or "I go to Hooter's for the wings".

I would like to bring it to peoples attection I am fine with the races we have currently pertiularly the Miqo'te race.
I would surpect that most of the people that want the Viera race so bad also do ERP.
I think Fran (FFXII) is what everyone in the ffxiv comunity want in the Viera race. ooo thats another point IF we get a bunny based race I would surpect it would not be Veira maybe not even look like them (some how i'm thinking of Elezen with large ears)

Elezen with rabbit ears and a puff tail is all we would get. They would not get the features that make Viera unique. Not...going...to...happen.

Viera has been the race I've wanted to play for a long time. My favorite animals are rabbits, and I like races that mix animal and human characteristics (my main characters are Miqo'te and Au Ra). I'd really like to play as a male Viera, honestly. I really loved the concept art they showed a while back.

That being said, I'd love if they added any new race, even if it wasn't Viera. I like seeing all the different races, even if I wouldn't necessarily want to play as those races. And if not a new race, then at least something like expanded character creation options.

I can see why people would be frustrated with seeing posts about Viera all the time, though.
