I never really could get into ArcheAge. I liked the whole concept of the game but... Eeeeeeeh.

My brother is practicing healer, while I'm trying to cap scripture. So he and I and two friends go do expert. One tank death because my brother tried to get out of CS, but was stuck in it weirdly. Ah well, no big deal. No other issues. Then we decide to go trials. Final Steps of Faith. LOL.

My brother was so mad. He's only ever tanked it. And, I've only ever healed it. So now he's healing, I'm dpsing, and our friend is (still) WAR tanking.

First go round, we wipe due to low dps and scattered focus on the adds. Regroup, and we finish the fight.

As bard (which is NOT my main by a long shot)...I was second on dps. Behind my friend in savage gear.

And ahead of the BLM. Who, over the course of the fight, got three Battle-Voiced Foe Req.

How does that even happen?

Ok, ty for the explanations. But then how is the instant-hate happening? DX Just don't understand is all. Are they just casting it too close to pull times then? (tanks's almost on top of mobs by the time it goes off. :P). Sorry if my post came off as grumpy, it's just all week I've had Expert roulettes like this, and it's all been SCHs and I dunno what's happening. OnO;

They are casting too late. There is latency to deal with: all the other players on your screen are actually ahead of where you can see them. The scholar may see their adloquium landing before the tank hits anything, but the server sees it as after. I generally try to get the galvanize up right as the last mob in the previous pack dies to avoid this.

I have also pulled mobs by turning on eye for an eye while we're all running. It's a buff, and generates a tiny amount of enmity. If the tank has only body pulled, this will result in a lot of attention from the mobs. If the tank has hit all the mobs with something, a buff won't do enough to pull off of him.

Tank: "Oh sorry, we're on voice chat together. Haven't done this before."

Did my leveling roulette on WHM, and got temple of qarn normal. Ok fine, no probs. Until we get to the golem boss, and the tank doesn't bother to hit the guardian at all until the soulstone's killed so the ninja was tanking it the whole first bit. Then knocks me back into the wall stunning me, the tank pulls him nearish me for some reason, he does his aoe stomp followed by his big triangle aoe thing in my direction. All of that happened pretty fast and I was unable to get a heal off, and unable to get out of the triangle aoe since it was against the wall where I was standing and I die. It was just one of those shitstorm of things that happens, whatever. Not mad.. but I DID get a little annoyed at the summoner who then didn't res me, and instead just kept barely dpsing away. He dies about 30 seconds or so after I do, and then it's the tank and the ninja. The tank dies, boss at like 5%, and the ninja LBs and wins with like, 20% health left or something. Overall a success, so I probably shouldn't be annoyed, but I hate when people refuse to use utility because "its not their job". >:/

My first rant !

Casually farming lights for my 3rd anima, dps was great, everything was smooth.
2 players finish their weapon so we set up a PF, 2 ninja join, we get back in. "Yay ! double trick attack" I thought.

I notice the memo bonus, "well free memos can't hurt."

We proceed to faust, then the boss.

I'm expecting trick attack at pull. "Hmm no trick attack, maybe they had to refresh huton first".

10s pass, 20, 40....

No trick attack at all. With 2 ninjas in the party.

And don't get me started on their rotation... this was really sad to see. I ended up leaving this party after trying to ask for trick attack, without any answer (I suspect they didn't even know what it was...)

I ran into a sprout scholar wearing the Songbird outfit in Brayflox's Longstop.

I didn't think much of it until the tank ended up dying on the third pull (They were barely hanging on for the first two, but the raincatcher was too much), then noticed how small their heals were compared to a usual healer while they were struggling to keep me alive.

It turned out they were wearing the actual Songbird outfit instead of glamour due to not being 50. They initially insisted their lack of functional armor wasn't the problem and that they somehow "got silenced" despite none of the enemies in the initial trash pulls having that status effect (To my knowledge, at least). After me and the tank pressured them enough, they eventually claimed they didn't have any actual healing armor on hand and insisted that it would be fine, then refused to take any further action until we eventually kicked them.

I'd like to believe they were trolling instead of actually being that dumb.

Loaded in with the boss, JUST dying... and still got 2 comms. Ahahahahaha ... considering the work I put in on other things and get 0 comms, idk if I should be laughing or crying.

Had a Dun Scath run recently.

My party had a Rouge! Not even a sprout.

So first trash goes fine hardly had to heal anything.
First boss time. I notice the rouge is lagging behind the pack...
Alliance B pulls, he gets locked out... Could of been a simple emergency, benefit of the doubt given.
next set of trash, no issues.
Boss 2. Same thing happens...
So now I think ok its a leech... can't kick as Loot needs to be rolled on, and/or in battle. (you guessed it the rouge wasn't rolling)
So this continues all the way to Diabolos.
Now as luck would have it, we wiped on Hollow and the loot timed out. before i even click the party menu, vote kick comes up. and passes just as quickly.

You can carry any group with 3 competent people up until brayflox, you actually need to make an effort there.
