I know I have a couple PLD friends that will Stoneskin themselves before a boss or a large pull just to save me the trouble (and mana) of doing it for them, but they don't stop mid-combo to Stoneskin party members. (I actually lol'd because the tank I had made a point of never giving me a Stoneskin the entire run. Lol okay, whatever dude.) Ofc, they also use cooldowns for tankbusters and don't Divine Veil at strange times (this tank used it before we even pulled trash/bosses; yeah that's probably useful for the pulls with the slimes in Sohm Al incase Blaze does go off, but for boss fights, it wore off before we took any worthwhile damage).


In other news, I did a Fractal Continuum run where I had the hugest DPS. On AST. The two DPS were new, and the tank insisted on doing as big of pulls as they possibly could. I wasn't concerned with the healing part, but with the fact that the DPS weren't really AOEing. I can kinda understand why the NIN would only drop Doton and Death Blossom a couple times, considering we had a SMN. However, the SMN spent more time jumping around and using Miasma II rather than AOEing. I think they used Deathflare one or twice.

The last boss was a fustercluck. DPS died left and right, stood in the paralysis bomb things, I'd be trying to Esuna the Bomb debuff off of them while also trying to keep them alive and kill the Alarums before the entire floor was covered (and there was one wave with only one open square).

There were six waves of the Alarum adds. I have never seen more than three, so I was just completely speechless by the end.

Ran Dun Scaith with my boyfriend and we ran into a bard with Augmented Shire right side + fully completed anima weapon. THIS BARD GOT HIT BY EVERYTHING. LITERALLY EVERYTHING. Aero III, Void Death IV, 4 deaths and 30% weakness all in the first phase. You name it, he'll die to it. Repeat for the other bosses. Holy. Jesus. Bless my cohealer for raising her because I stopped after the first phase.

Run World of Darkness as SCH... There is this BLM that dies to EVERY single doom in the first boss. The first time, whatever, close call. The next two times, I gently remind the group to look away from gaze, and to cleanse it if they get it. We wipe because everyone ignore the adds.

Go back in, the BLM continues to die to EVERY SINGLE FLIPPING DOOM.

So I call them out. "You've died to every single doom."

"I know I'm bad ok."

Ok... So I stop rezzing them and save my MP for people that are actually paying attention. But I watch them, get doom, keep DPSING, DIE, rinse repeat.

I ignore them and focus on the rest of the party.

Its in Cerberus that my attention catches them again.

They are only doing Fire III and Blizzard III. (Friend says he saw Thunder III, I never saw it.)

I don't pretend to know BLM well, but... I cannot believe what I am seeing.

I focus on it through this fight and Cloud of Darkness.

We wipe because all the meteors don't get filled.

Got dropped into Ward Up for my Guildhest roulette earlier. So incredibly fun... It was so long... So very very long. The BLM kept spamming Blizzard III on single targets, screwing up the strategy. The freaking Gargoyle was summoned, and I had never seen that before. I swear to god we were doing it for 10 minutes, and we won out of sheer luck.

Fractial Continuum

The last boss was a fustercluck.

How? Just... how? Even if you are new to the dungeon that boss is so laughably easy. It's seriously one of the least threatening, jokes of a boss in the entire game. Don't step in the things, kill the adds. Literally the only people who have to worry about anything special are the Healers with the bomb debuff. I can't grasp how anyone could have trouble staying alive on that boss. It's mind blowing. I'm sorry you got stuck with such turds.

Ultima Weapon as PLD. Warrior was a sprout, refused to tank swap. I got to 5 stacks 3 times and died.
At least 3 others were sprouts, too.
The one time I didn't get insta-killed, the dps stayed on the boss and wouldn't kill adds until both healers went OOM, then it was a total wipe.

Just had a Soul of the Creator run where one of the tanks was trolling by using their LB early. Both of them claimed the other was doing it and unfortunately I don't know enough about tank LBs to differentiate them. Party wound up disbanding

Edit: Just did another one and saw the WAR LB. It was the PLD who was trolling, who of course was the one who started off blaming the other tank.

This is me when I get home from work. Not a bard, but alas, I cannot focus on anything and I end up hugging the floor often than I would like to admit. Towards the end I am left with nothing but a huge repair bill.

...he clemencied himself every time he lost a teeny bit of health. Seriously. ...

I got one that bitched on me because his health were at an alarming rate of 95% up (not down, he lost 5%) and I don't were healing. Then proceeed to heal himself all the duty instead of taking aggro, because a bad healer as me start to think about healing (and turn down cleric) when you are at 50% or less.

Protecting themselves is today a standard for tanks and dps. I were to think at it as some potd-effect but it were happeneing before, maybe now got worse.

As SCH, seriously now thinking to don't xclass Protect and SS because everyone does that, so I don't need them.

Ironically, I'm scared to use Clemency & Stoneskin as PLD because I know it can make the healers get angry or insecure. In huge many mob pulls, PLD has no AOE anyway so I think it'd be a drastic DPS boost for the healer to use a few AOEs while PLD uses up it's two Clemencys as opposed to 1 Fast Blade on 1 enemy of the 15 enemies.

Lately I had really bad experience with tanks in dungeons. At least 3x from my last five leveling dungs we had a tank that does not communicate and did stupid things. PLD using flash while standing with us and then start running towards mobs... and in the middle or this run he uses sprint... so when he gets to mobs/boss, he has no TP. Everytime I try to explain them not to do this and got no response whatsoever. And tank continue to do it like this till end of dungeon. Are people really this terrible they cant read tooltips on skills? First time I thought they were bots, but bots I met never jumped like morons every 2 secs or doing emotes.
