I want to be Viera so badly

I want to be Viera so badly

Alternatively, Roegadyn females is another decent candidate. Especially the Hellsguard.

I keep seeing this and i do believe you both are refusing to acknowledge what this thread is about. I do not want them as a sub race, i do not want gear options to replicate their look. As Viera have been represented they are mature, fierce, elegant, and proud. The reason they are being requested is because that cant be found at the moment. Miqo'te are the playful cute option, Midlander are shy and cute, as are Au Ra, Highlander are the tomboy/ athletic cute, Elezen and Roegadyn females do have prim and proper emotes however for many their body proportions and or lack of desirable face options keep them as a distinct minority. Point being, Viera adopting any of the emotes from the other races would either look completely off or just plain stealing from the already small pool of players that currently play those less chosen races. Should they go the Hyur route the question would inevitably be, why not simply make them their own race?
The idea of them being their own race but not playable may be a good way to introduce them and their lore however, it would give way to much more call for them to be made a playable race should the be implemented in such a way. All in all what is being requested does not fit what we currently have, making them unique in this installment of an FF title is not a thing that would be detrimental to those that do not want or see a need for them.
Viera are not highlanders or roegadyns, this is a misconception by taking the most extreme Fran pics from FFXII and imagining them as even more extreme than they were.
Viera are from Final Fantasy Tactics where this is nothing close to what they look like. It's closer to the cute concepts some people say aren't Viera.
They also wear very high heels so maybe they're actually short. I would not mind seeing a viera cross between a potato and a namingway but taller, maybe one subrace taller/bulkier than hyur and one shorter than au ra. They also have subraces too.
These are woodland viera.

This is a feol viera which is fairer skinned and has a different build.

Bunny crown would be nice it it combines with hats and removes ears/horns.

So they are Miqote instead then. You are right that this is more likely how Viera will be designed but these just look like tanned Miqote (or more accurately Mithra) with rabbit ears.

And that's when I mention a third clan of either Elezen with the exact type of physique as Viera (mature, elegant, etc), or Miqo'te (longer ears, no tail, same physique as Viera) as a compromise, also having their own emotes and animations, like Midlanders and Highlanders. Viera lore from Tactics Advance and XII has no place in XIV (make them actually unique/different, rather than just copy and paste from a previous title).
If Viera are to be introduced as NPC only races (and never playable), that's also a decent compromise... but again, not with the same lore from previous titles. Give them their own XIV lore.

That is all in direct in direct contrast to what is being asked for in this thread. The compromise you give dose nothing to satisfy the concession I and many other are asking for. So much is already borrowed from other FF titles but this must be completely unique? What dose the introduction of Viera do to you specifically that should keep it from a player base that has wanted them since 1.0 (for those of us coming form Vana'diel even longer). And that's when I mention a third clan of either Elezen with the exact type of physique as Viera (mature, elegant, etc), or Miqo'te (longer ears, no tail, same physique as Viera) as a compromise, also having their own emotes and animations, like Midlanders and Highlanders. Yoshi wishes the mention of Viera had been left off the race survey, it wasn't. He did not want the Au Ra concept art assets shown, they were. Time and again this request is made, time and again detractors and disparagers rally against it as if though their inclusion would be detrimental to them in some form or another, why?
In a game where we get outfits from past protagonists, have Fates bring characters from titles, have jobs, items, areas, names, music all referencing the series as a whole, the very thing that carried Final Fantasy XIV through 1.0 should be set aside completely for a unique race?
Though the difference is subtle, that does not mean it's unwanted or undesirable. People groan and complain that there are to many of these threads, should that not be an inclination as to what many in the community want? Even threads made specifically to counter those championing Viera are unable to keep up, why is that? Many in the player base want this option, have been patiently waiting for this. The title isn't Viera or riot it's :Viera as the next new race- Show your support: so of course 66 pages later supporters have defend their view to people who thinly cover their arguments against implementation as "discussion".
I do not want the compromises you have suggested. I want the dev team to concede and give us what was voted for and therefore expected of them as a promise made in 1.0. however it was meant, whatever the intent a clear winner was chosen. If the dev. team didn't mean to sway the vote in such a way using Viera as an example then their payed professional staff should have cleared it up before the results were tallied.
That damn race poll from 1.0
