PSA Regarding Stormbloods Budget and content development

So what is exactly the point?

Its simple. People will either like Stormblood, or not. How much is spent on it doesn't matter. Players will ultimately judge its worth on how much they themselves spent on it. Who cares how much SE spent?

I personally just take offense to misinformation.

There is also the fact that said misinformation is trying to instill a certain amount of hype that the game may or may not live up to. If people expect X, Y and Z because of the misguided notion that three times as much has been spent on Stormblood than Heavensward and then don't get nearly as much, maybe they will get angry enough to quit? That could be bad for the game in the long run.

Still, as I said before I just hate people parroting claims that have no sources (maybe that's just the scientist in me).

I do too, but I'm content with letting fools be fools. In this case, if people care about a budget of an expansion.. they've got some issues. Budget has no bearing on success. Minecraft and Terraria can attest to that.

Does anyone have access to the NA Fanfest Stream? That's where I believe I heard it at first. Koji and Yoshi were doing a little back and forth and Koji said something about increased funding and I distinctly remember looking at the FC mates sitting with me and going "did he just say increased funding?"

I was at Fanfest so I don't have the stream, but if someone else does they can try review the keynote broadcast to see if it's there.

I could very well be crazy and have misheard. But it was after the keynote though that I noticed the 'triple the funding' popping up on the forums and reddit.
