if i were to follow the logic of why many people come and defend how male miqote hands look, the femle sitting that way it is understandable. They are not civilized like midlanders (they kind of represent what civilized people aka human is suppose to be) - even highlanders are somewhat barbaric-. Now think about beastlike humanoid tribes.

forreal though, does it not look like we're trying desperately not to fall off. Like if you look at your hands, your claws are digging into the egg. Everyone else just sits on top of it, but Miqo'te (both male and female) are clinging desperately to life.
