I had a thought; is it possible the contracts for last campaign covered this campaign too?
Hopefully it won't be the same and we will see improvements, esp. for the ''EU'' accounts

People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
I want that cloud mount :X hopefully they will come over to us T_T.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

I'm waiting/hoping to see if they say anything about bringing this to the rest of the world, but I'm a little surprised that there's still been nothing said about it coming to us.

Have you ever asked yourself why they refuse to speak english?
They are traveling around the world. Live streams with people watching in EU, NA, Australia and so on. But they are speaking japanese.
That's actually all you have to know about how much they care about the rest of the world.
Ps: Oh, and let us beg for the mount on another 100 pages, otherwise they will not feel flattered enough.

Tbh I think that's just because a lot of them don't know these languages. They have translaters, but you can't expect individual people to communicate well in languages they don't know fluently. The team communicates well enough with us through translations when they want to. I think the main gripe players have with this issue is that last year the EU campaigns didn't go that well and a lot of the player base missed out on getting the items, so there's disappointment that the cloud mount was put in another JP exclusive campaign instead of on the cash shop where everyone everywhere has access to it.Have you ever asked yourself why they refuse to speak english?

Because they don't speak english? At the english fan fests, I believe the whole dev team except yoshi P thanked everyone and had a speech in english. To the point where Yoshi P was like "why is everyone speaking in English?"

The issue with the EU is that it is not a country. NA consists of like 3 countries, whereas EU might as well be called "rest of the world", and should be noted as such when dealing with these kinds of campaigns. Does it suck that certain countries didn't get campaigns? yes, is it feasable to hold events like this to the whole world? no. Mistakes were made, and I can imagine that the second go might be slightly better after the amount of feedback.

LoL
I'm from Austria and I try to do my best to get informations in a foreign language because english and spanish are the main languages. Japanese is not. If japanese would be the most widely spoken language I would of course try to learn this language.

I'd rather the team behind the game focused on the game and not learning English/Spanish (Yoshida's English comprehension is actually pretty good, he's just not confident in it and struggles with complex sentences). Square-Enix is a multinational company with a huge English-speaking and in-house translation facility. There's no need for Yoshida to go around wowing us all in English when he has bigger things to concentrate on.
The people who should be talking to us about this issue are the English-speaking community team. And those are the people we need to nag, via their interactive broadcasts, social media and, of course, the forums. They cannot be unaware of the level of dismay given their previous (belated and unhelpful) apology so it's frustrating to see their continued silence even as those around us ride around happily on their new mounts.
