They be hypocrites. It is gonna happen.like how they come out with Aymeric coat and females are demanding it be for them too and yet never see any of these same females making a post of saying anything about males getting a gear set when they release female only ones.
Like Yda sure her red dancer look be added at some point and you'll see none of these women complaining it female only what it should be even if there some men who would wear it.
But yet they be thrilled when get it and be first one defending should stay female only when the men who want it start complaining.
Highly doubt that it would be a drastic change, and to add to that, they had to redesign the outfit a bit for Roegadyn and Lalafell as their sizes are far more drastic of a change than a female body and they got those done just fine.Cosplay outfits specifically are designed for the model of that gender, female outfits especially would have to be edited drastically to make sense on a male frame, and while male outfits on females are more feasible (sometimes), this limitation would mean that two separate outfits would still need to be developed.
No hypocrites, just full of salty people such as yourself making up stories.
sure back when was someone about the dragoon or maybe not since isn't really a change to it on either one and said they be thrilled as in would be happy to get it and turn around and be snapping at the first male who demanding it be made for them too.I don't see male characters demanding Dragoon AF1 and AF2 to be changed to the male variant, what's your point? Of course people are going to focus on what effects them first and foremost as it's what they actually notice first.
And, who the hell is saying they are thrilled for exclusive female outfits? Pull out the posts I wanna see the receipts.
You are right, we won't start a thread about that as we would not be concerned by the restriction but a lot of us have supported for months the idea of getting rid of gender restriction.like how they come out with Aymeric coat and females are demanding it be for them too and yet never see any of these same females making a post of saying anything about males getting a gear set when they release female only ones.

Try to remember who the real "ennemy" is (strong word I know but can't think about another one atm ^^")
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
Oh come on, You don't think people will defend yda outfit being female only if it came out? People playing female characters right now demanding aymeric's outfit will probably ignore or defend the red dress being tied to females. I don't give a damn who wears what so don't call me salty for no reason. I only posted once in here. I am fine with removed restrictions, if male characters want to wear dresses go for it.
I wasn't around for the release of DRG AF1 but I know that the belly window upsets a lot of my friends with female characters (most of the rest it amuses, which isn't necessarily the intended reaction). If someone wants to make a thread about that I'll sign it. They could stick the alternate version (unisex obviously) in the Gold Saucer as a set of glamour items matched to each version of the AF - for girls it makes their Drachen mail look normal, for boys it gives it a belly window. Not something I would use but it would certainly send a message about double standards.
I assume that a lot of DRGs actually like the belly window, especially a subset of straight guys who want to dress their female character up that way. So completely changing it would be tough.
If you want receipts on people with female characters jeering at me for picking the 'wrong' gender the last time this came around, I can dig up a bunch of them. I believe there were quite a few smug remarks in the Thav bustier thread linked a page or two back.
So your issue is with people being, what, rhetorically impure? To be completely honest, I don't care either way if they unlock female outfits. I'm not opposed to it, certainly. But I play a female character specifically in order to have more clothing options, so it doesn't affect me. Why would you expect me to argue for it?like how they come out with Aymeric coat and females are demanding it be for them too and yet never see any of these same females making a post of saying anything about males getting a gear set when they release female only ones.

oh I know frankly what people should do get SE money greedy self and be demanding a male AND female version that way not getting some mess up version not nit picking and complaining that male get this coat and females should get it too they should be trying to get a female version of it not just getting it for bothYou are right, we won't start a thread about that as we would not be concerned by the restriction but a lot of us have supported for months the idea of getting rid of gender restriction.

I don't care if they do either just find it funny when a male only coat comes out got this big complaint over it being male only and yet when a male complain about a female only outfit they get jump on by most of them telling them to pretty much shut up and leave it alone and yet here another group trying to tell them once more to stick it and SE need to make this for bothSo your issue is with people being, what, rhetorically impure? Well, I don't doubt there are assholes, but I'm honestly sick of these generalizations on 100% of a certain aspect of the player base. Just because some guys are jerks doesn't mean everyone is.I wasn't around for the release of DRG AF1 but I know that the belly window upsets a lot of my friends with female characters (most of the rest it amuses, which isn't necessarily the intended reaction). And as a side note, I don't think actually removing it is a good idea, I was thinking more of adding the option to exchange your gear to one with the black texture on the stomach would be enough. Most people indeed prefer fan service, yes. I'm not one of them, however, and I do realize I'm minority here.
If the game was advertised that way, 'play a female character to get more clothing!', I would have nothing to argue about and you'd be talking to a female Duskwight right now instead of the male one to whom I have become attached. I'm more comfortable as a guy but not against switching for better treatment. But it wasn't advertised that way; it was specifically mentioned around the time I started that your aesthetic choices in character creation didn't affect anything meaningful. Furthermore, when most of us started playing there was no glamour imbalance; that came later as a systemic bias crept into the design philosophy.
I don't think it's unreasonable to expect people who want to fight for better treatment to support other people when they fight for equal treatment, and be disappointed that they don't actually care a jot until they encounter the same problem. Which would never have existed if they had been fighting for equality in the first place.
