Completion of Heavenwards -not- required for Stormblood?

if i'm right get the new jobs will be possible without access the new area, but the access to the new area was not explained... like said, it will be strange to go throught baelsar if in your story quest, the alliance haven't get the wall under control :x

i'm curious to see how they will do this,

it's nice to say you don't need to complet the story quest is too long, but the story will have huge plothole without some quest from HW...

Depends how they go about it. They could do a brief synopsis not too dissimilar to how Mass Effect handled new players jumping into the series without having played any of the previous games. It basically recapped the story if you selected that option.

I guess I get why you interpreted it the way you did, OP, but it sounds to me like he's really just talking about not needing to complete the story to access some SB content, specifically the new jobs.

Even if they remove requirements of HW MSQ, you still need to be 60 lvl to start SB MSQ. And without "magic leveling potion" from mog station the easiest way to level up yourself after beating ARR - beat HW. Its not that long.
I started HW with 55 lvl (5 levels for 100 msq quests after last ARR dungeon + Crystal Tower and roulettes) and was 60 just right on last HW quest while skipping ALL side-quest (I could not even fly in any location back then), bought 150 lvl gear from node in Azys Lla and went to ARF. And all side quests went to another classes (DRK and AST).

Going to assume story will still be needed but Jobs won't be locked. Maybe Areas will be free to roam but I doubt it.

The way the heavensward story has changed the Scion's motivations as WELL as aesthetics, assuming you wouldn't need it completed is silly.
