Nope, I won't, because people being treated with dignity for whom they are is far more important.
Let me go through this point by point. Yes, I read your post thoroughly. You point out that NPC gear on the MogStation is restricted to the gender of the NPC, which is true, but my point is, why? I specifically mentioned those four old Scion models because they are not special models. They were based on normal 1.0 gear, which still exists in-game. Even Minfilia had normal 1.0 gear in 1.0, but her outfit got updated. I avoided mentioning the new Scion gear because those are new models. My point is there is no technical reason why the four models I mentioned can't be gender-neutral. Someone decided to restrict them, and I posit that they did that because of complaints like yours.Did you even read my post thoroughly? Its gear based on the MogStation that is exclusive to NPCS such as Aymeric, Yda, Thancred, etc. These people are special characters that have models and clothing given exclusively to them, hence the name Aymeric's Attire or Yda's Attire. I couldn't give two craps over the Thavnarian Bustier/Bolero situation. If you really want to cry over diversity then let me tell you that females can wear the best man suit and males can wear the spring dress whatever too. THAT is diversity. Take your "you don't want gear/gender unlock" somewhere else because that is NOT what this thread is for.
I've never brought up diversity, and to be honest I don't even fully understand that argument, so I'm not going to address it. I have no problem with unlocking gender-restricted gear, so I'm not really sure what you're getting at here. I don't even want to use Aymeric's armor (despite having purchased it), I'm coming at this from a purely philosophical perspective.
As for why I'm in this thread, my first post summed that up, but I'll reiterate: calling for Aymeric's armor to remain gender locked strikes me as spiteful and petty. No argument or reason anyone's given me thus far has changed that opinion.
So the thread you made isn't childish? Yeah okay. Voicing my opinion on the forums like you did so deal with it.Not only is this thread rather childish in conception, but why is this whole "let male characters have something exclusive for a change" even being argued as a point? What bothers you to the point that a female character would be wearing Ser Aymeric's outfit that you would deliberately want it to be exclusive? Like, really guys? What a joke.
If people were wanting to wear some cool female outfit on a male character you wouldn't catch me going "It's ours, don't let them".![]()

Nope, because I wasn't trying to start anything or make some kind of stance on the on-goings of this topic I wasn't aware of. It was straight to the point of wanting to wear his outfit. You on the other hand deliberately took my thread title and reversed it and even mention that my thread got 6 pages for whatever reason.
You made a thread for it. I made a thread against it. That is allowed. If you consider that childish I don't know what to tell you. Freedom of speech exists for a reason. Not my fault you got your feelings hurt. Plenty of worse things in the world.Nope, because I wasn't trying to start anything or make some kind of stance on the on-goings of this topic I wasn't aware of. "Hello, I'm auditioning for the role of Ser Aymeric de Borel, and I'll be singing Electric Chapel by Lady Gaga"
And yet people will still rage if someone dares to suggest that Artifact Armor be cross job glamourable, regardless of if that person has earned the armor and leveled said jobs or not. Honestly I don't think this community (the forum community anyway) knows what it wants anymore and is just discontent in general / actively searching for things to complain about.

Personally dont care if a man is in a dress but I do care about the image of jobs, having a preference of one over the other is not a disconnection in self understanding. And yet people will still rage if someone dares to suggest that Artifact Armor be cross job glamourable, regardless of if that person has earned the armor and leveled said jobs or not. FF has a very strong image for jobs, you take away the image then its no longer strong. Like you dont call a cactaur a chocobo or a sock the life stream.
Black mage artifact armor based on the nostalgic image of black mages throughout the series is for black mages. And if you really want just for the sake of saying it's FF, I could reference both the classic cloud scene and the large selection of very effeminate male villains we've had for allowing males to dress in female attire lol.
