You are totally right. My apologies for not providing it.
Thank you!
Being how big glamour is in this game, I'm not really a fan of job locked clothing.
omg omg YES
Glamour is the end game of course lol However, Job lock has always been a thing in the series & i'm rather fond of every job having there own unique look and identity. Not less of it. And I also move to this being a request lol xD
Yes, and why so short with me? My point was that making assumptions about the player behind the character based on the gender or appearance of the character is foolhardy at best. And of the remaining 60%, how many of them are transgender and playing a female character is quite therapeutic for them? How many male characters are played by RL females?
In short, there's no way to tell who's or what is controlling that character you see on the screen unless you know them personally. Just let the player be the damn gender they have chosen for their character.
The argument suggested that all female characters are played by guys, which is obviously false. However with a 60/40 split in player gender and approximately a 50/50 gender split by character it's statistically extremely unlikely that 'all female characters' are played by guys. I was simply pointing that out.
While I'm not totally against job locked items, they have their place I just don't want people coming up with new concept glamour that locked to jobs. Cause I'm sure that all it would end up being is glamour gear and not actual gear with stats.
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come off that way. I wasn't being snarky with you, but rather expanded on what you were saying. I should have chosen better words.
But I agree with you completely, and it's a bit ironic that it is often perceived that the more girly a character is, the more likely she is actually a guy. I've even read some silly studies mentioning things like males jump 60% more than females, and I'm just like who cares? Just let them be whoever they want to be unless they're actively trying to take advantage of others.
Apologies, I may have been a tad sensitive.I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come off that way. I wasn't being snarky with you, but rather expanded on what you were saying. I should have chosen better words.

I've read similar research about male players jumping more, I'd actually believe that to be true. One thing that is interesting is how you as a player are perceived by others based on your behavior in game and the 'look' of your character. Personally, I address characters in-game by their apparent gender, and make no assumptions about the player because it really doesn't matter whether they are male or female. As you say, who cares.
No apology is needed. I can see how that post could be interpreted several ways.Apologies, I may have been a tad sensitive.

I think there is quite a bit of truth to the jumping as well, and know several grasshoppers who have female characters. At the end of the day though, I don't make assumptions either and just prefer to interact with others without putting too much thought into such things. It is much more fun that way.
ok. so now theres Swim wear concept as well huh. this needs to happen lol xD
