Moreover its Stahlmann/Rosthnstal himself who teaches you how to shoot in the MCH story so... You could technically say that the musketeer class is somewhat living.

I would love if they opened this class and mixed it with say gladiator. That way we can open the pirate job and have a sword and gun combo. Be a mid and close ranged fighter with very in your face but underhanded moves in true pirate fashion.
Though the Defender Airship could probably fairy whatever they want wherever they want it's the size of a full size ship =DI'm almost convinced we'll see a "Pirate" Job Class at some point that derives from Musketeer and either Marauder or Gladiator. We're bound to cross the western ocean at some point so that means going to Limsa (Since Dravania and "Ghost Sharlyon" are probably not going to have active ports).
It would almost make sense to use the ocean route to go to Sharleyon Proper at some point as well. Ships can hold more people and more supplies in one trip than air ships after all.
The Machinist story is Lominsan no matter where you get the quests and who it is you deal with. Our old boy "Rosthnstal" is the heart and soul of the story.
Also, regardless of MCH's current lackluster state, everyone who bleeds Maelstrom-red needs to be leveling it out of sheer principle. Live by the sword/axe/bigger sword as you will, but keep your gun locked and loaded, 'til sea swallows all. >:I
If they're not going to add this class, it would at least be cool if the logo got replaced with the MCH logo, and It just became another branching guild for the MCH class. They could make up lore to support this, such as the unification of marksmanship skill, and protocol. Perhaps the second guild wouldn't serve you at all, it would just be to make sense of the lore, supporting npcs that partake in the Yellow Guards marksmanship. They could add a few more guards as well, and give them guns. I just feel like that guild is empty, when it shouldn't feel so. The yellow jackets head quarters is supposed to be a big part of Limsa Lominsa.
There were tons of classes that were originally going to be in the game before "Jobs" were added to make it more like a classic FF.
