Eh, I do actually agree with you. But that's the problem I have with "Don't encourage bad play". Especially in response to apathy. It's almost as if sucking it up and finding ways to deal with it is "just as bad" now.

I suppose I could have taken a more condemning stance, since I'm generally against causing havok in a group. I just also take issue with just dolling out kicks because you find something annoying.

I guess i glossed over the "pulling ahead" too much, but without timestamps, it's a little hard to gauge how much time was between the warning and the boot. If it was intentional, sure deserved.
If it was an airheaded/new healer that was tunnel-visioned from chat, though...

Sucking it up and dealing with it is fine if you are ok with these players not learning. You put up with it and carry them they aren't going to change or improve. Someone wearing all wrong accessories and ignores you when you point it out? sure you could carry them or boot them so they learn.
There are a lot of bad players out there and it would be nice to have them listen to advice instead of have someone defend them in the dungeon because "we're not wiping"

Because honestly I didn't think of it until I got out of the run. At the time I was so focused on speeding through as quick as I could and keeping mobs from murdering my healer. Probably around 20 minutes later I says to myself "I shoulda just f*cking asked the other ladies if they wanted to finish it with 3." But I'm a moron that doesn't think of these things when I'm stressed out. Believe me, I've been asking myself this since yesterday LOL.

POTD:

2 people have kinna weapons, the other 2 don't (I'm one of the non-kinna people). We get a floor that has the "No poms allowed", and we don't have the pom to get rid of that. The 2 kinna people lead the way, aggro a bunch of mobs and then trigger a spawn trap. They die then start blaming me and the other non-kinna people for getting them killed. Like, lol? This was level like, 83 or something, there had to be about 10 mobs. We had a witching pom, but couldn't use it because again, we had the "no poms allowed" effect. But somehow it was my fault they died cause my weapon wasn't kinna. These guys also wanted to skip every silver chest too so I couldn't even upgrade my weapon.

I also started to notice, not everyone uses support skills anymore such as qualling strikes or other de-enmity/threat skills. Lost hate a few times in lvl 60 dungeons and expert because of not seeing these used. I use/spam my enmity abilities like unleash, and abysmal drain (with and with out dark arts) and still have issues.

I wish monk HAD an enmity reduction skill T_T

People found in Dun Scaith today:
Co-healer who wasn't happy with me being a Scholar, because he wanted to use Nocturnal sect. Not that that really mattered, he bailed after the first boss, after he got his loot.
Summoner who threatened to report me, when I said (half-jokingly) that I wouldn't heal our tank if he pulled a boss early again.
Monk who was using Fists of Wind. He swapped to Earth after I mentioned this. Sure, it's not Fire, but at least it helped him survive some hits, so an improvement. He also stood in Diablos' cleaves, but Diab was kinda all over the place with his aggro at times, so he might have just gotten confused by the spinning.
The same summoner, started yelling at me to leave the monk alone when I recommended Fists of Fire (while he was still on Wind). Come on man, you're not being a friend if you shut down people trying to help.
And the rest of the team I had to be scraping off the floor constantly, some less often than others. I think the BLM was the only one who never needed a rez.
Got 4 comms out of that and got to use LB3 though, so it wasn't an entirely terrible run. Most of the team was doing pretty well most of the time.

This leaves me slightly confused. Savage drops are random, so you can't really "prioritize" who gets stuff first, right? Aside from upgrade items. I feel like I'm missing something?

Today is the day that i commemorate the 3rd times in a row I died miserably as a scholar from griffin's restraint collar. I wonder if there's a continuation to this streak..

My best streak is 6 I think. 3 of those in one run. :P

Static groups will usually allot the upgrade items (deepest gobtwine, gobcoat, gobdip) to their dps first. In our case we gave a gobdip to our main healer after a dps got his upgrade because A12S is very healing intensive.

Like Bound said, statics usually have people pass on upgrade loot (dips, twine, coat) because it benefits everyone if the DPS can deal more damage and thus, kill the boss faster. Healers and tanks can get away with lesser gear for longer.

nope this happen the day I posted it, and what my bf said about me and what I have gone through when tanking is none if my business he is just trying to be a good bf, but i didn't want him/tell him to do it.

Sorry buy pre-pull regen shouldn't be shrugged off, it makes tanking harder then needed. I kicked them for the pulling though. Sorry for lack of time stamps but this went from the first boss room to right before demon wall. I don't have any latency issues as me and my b/f are hardwired to the modem and live in central USA.

Please learn what min-maxing is.. it is just maxing out your stats with BiS gear, having good timing of skills and using skills to help your party should be bare minimum of being a team player. (not counting healer dps as that is pure bonus i prefer my healers to heal)

Dungeons are where you learn to group up, so pointing out mistakes (nicely) is to help make runs smooth, enjoyably for all members, and people able to grow/learn. having the "solo" mindset is why a lot of "bad" players exist. Guides are good, not there a ton with conflicting advice and not everyone will "get it" from a guide a lone. (that and there a ton of guides it can be overwhelming)


Also as for my gear "out of date" is a bit off as I only recently hit 60 on dark and only just got the gear. I just got back to ff14 3 mnths ago and only been lvl 60 on this character a few weeks. Playing catch up.

Your attitude is pretty bad though, and wish you wouldn't assume the worst. Ask questions instead of being gun ho "attacking" someone for their experience (bad choice of words, but your post is rude).

Also I'm used to typing and tanking, I may typo my words, but i don't stop to type. I only say something if my group isn't worjking together, and doing this that make any one persons role harder then necessary. I don't kick people out unless they ignore me asking to not dp something that is making the run harder.

We should be promoting teamwork, not mindsets like yours.
