First off, I must say that, given the reasoning and the screencap of the conversation, it was a smidge abusing of the kick. Yes, you asked nicely and they continued, but the actual offense was merely pre-regen. Regen, while annoying, isn't too detrimental on pulls. I, personally, would never kick any healer for using regen in this manner. This is probably why the replacement shrugged you off- I would too. I'd actually be a bit on edge if I was that healer. it really is a minor offense in the grandest of schemes.

it's initial hate that, yes, makes me either stop momentarily or even turn around. However, it should still be overcome with 1 unleash. your gear is a TAD outdated for the lastest released dungeons, but should still be capped in older content. This is likely a core reason why you have a harder time holding enmity- gear plays a big role in this, especially when DPS have much better gear.

I won't really comment on the running around, though. There is next to nothing you can do about that if your latency isnt good enough to even swing your sword at moving targets. My best advice for that is to actually pop sprint here. DRK can manage a pull without TP so long as you have enough MP and Blood Price. If thats not possible, drop darkside so you can get -minor- MP regen. Abyssal drain is so much better than unleash for this when you actually have it (i realize you did not in this scenario).


Ultimately, as im sure everyone in this thread and in-game will attest, you should not ever expect min-max performance in duty finder. Nor should you... demand it. It would be NICE if I got shadewalker from NIN during a boss pull, but I will rarely comment on it. Even if I'm friendly about it, the act still presents a negative scenario to the individual. You're actually addressing a random strnager's shortcomings, after all... I mean, yes, you need to communicate shortcomings in a team scenario, but... 15-20 minute dungeons when you're limited to text is not an ideal scenario for these sorts of things...

That is the same reason I advocate AGAINST a DPS meter in the duty finder. there's just no time and place in there to be pointing out, correcting, or even caring about mistakes.

I think there's a large difference between demanding that everyone be perfectly on point and never mess up a mechanic or part of their rotation while utilizing their support abilities to its utmost effectiveness... and making a simple request about what someone does before the mobs are even pulled.

/cough so I had a rather awkward PotD run tonight. I'm running the lower floors to get used to tanking as gladiator (terrible idea, I know, but it gives me practice fighting for enmity with all the trigger-happy DPS around. ). Party comp is 2 tanks (me on GLD, other lady on PLD), an AST and a BLM.

Things start off pretty normal, we clear first floor fine. Suddenly BLM pipes up with "PLD, you're character is so pretty. "
PLD: "Oh, uh, ty. "

Now, this seemed completely normal to me. I've complimented people's characters before, their glam choices/etc... But... it continued. :S Like the next 3 floors was of this tit BLM gushing at her, making some of the saddest attempts at flirting I've ever seen, asking about her server, if she wanted to meet up after, does she have a BF, and on and on and on. PLD is polite, but very obviously not interested and me and AST are sorta gagging in the background, making sarcastic comments as we go:

Me: "I wonder how many dudes he's unknowingly made passes at..."
AST: /laugh /playdead

What happened after those 3 floors? Comments got progressively more assertive, more suggestive when PLD explained she is a girl irl (which I don't know whyyy. Ladies, back me up here, if we're getting unwelcome advances from a dude online, we lie through our teeth to get them to back off right??? ... then again, maybe she's not jaded enough yet). So at this point PLD is runnning recklessly thru the dungeon (to finish fast, I assume, poor girl). Me and AST are just pretending we have no other party members, she keeps feeding me all her balances and boles and arrows and whatever else comes up, and I yank all the stuff off her (since she is both healer and main DPS at this point. :S Btw miss AST: you're badass. I'm amazed we didn't take much longer with our only DD MIA, and props all go to you for that. <3 ), and work on progressing since BLM was busy sitting around typing. :P

Final floor (takes way too long imo).

BLM: Aww, last floor.
Me: oh thank goodness
PLD: LOL yeah...
AST: /throws another Balance on me.

Got to boss, not gonna lie, I ran for him as soon as we loaded in. I didn't want to spend a second longer in there than I had to, and I figured BLM would fart around some more if I gave him the chance.

As soon as boss goes down, all the ladies sprint for the exit LOL. I hugged the AST before leaving 'cause I know she was as unhappy with the run as I was.

Like, there's flirtatious, and then there's "this guy is going to be my stalker for the next 5 years" levels of creepy. OnO; I wasn't the target (aw yeah, Lala shield!), but it pissed me off that someone else had to put up with it, and the fact that he was an active hindrance to us for most of the run.

I suppose they got paniked, because if you want run, you want go to the tank.

Instead, all the times an healer gets aggro for any reason, it seems the tank have some weird debuff that kills healers, as long as the healer is trying to run farther possible from tank.

I stopped chasing healers and play merry-go-round with them, will just say once "if get aggro, run to me" for sake of let him know what to do, but if he expecting the tank running to him to move away aggro from his mobs, he got the wrong tank.

Eh, I do actually agree with you. But that's the problem I have with "Don't encourage bad play". Especially in response to apathy. It's almost as if sucking it up and finding ways to deal with it is "just as bad" now.

I suppose I could have taken a more condemning stance, since I'm generally against causing havok in a group. I just also take issue with just dolling out kicks because you find something annoying.

I guess i glossed over the "pulling ahead" too much, but without timestamps, it's a little hard to gauge how much time was between the warning and the boot. If it was intentional, sure deserved.
If it was an airheaded/new healer that was tunnel-visioned from chat, though...

I'm so sorry her and you and the party had to go through that >_< . Yes there's a ton of creepers out there in the world and is why I mostly keep to myself. Those who need to know, they know and those who don't, I'm more then happy letting them assume whatever about me they want. It just saves so many headaches. I haven't run into the problem yet here THANK GOD. I did though in other games. My last one was I was talking to a guy who seemed nice at first, then he got progressively more creeper and clingy. He actually asked for my name and phone number AFTER I JUST MET HIM. I told him both are something I just don't give out freely. He was upset at that, I didn't care. He would then send me tells constantly asking me what I was doing and would get downright mad at me if I had the audacity to group with someone else that wasn't him or included him. He finally got the hint when I lied and made it look like I was AFK and ignored his tells till he got the hint and de-friended me to when I happily added him to blacklist after a heavy sigh of relief!

Got kicked from PotD for the very first time and according to them, I was playing solo.
Sure, my Esuna was not enough for you, my dps was not enough for you.

Apparently they wanted to kill every single mob, discover every single room in all floors and open every single chest.
They should have told me, I wouldn't mind.

"We're kicking you for playing solo". I didn't even get to clear 1 floor with them.
