i.e.
- Combined HPS 3800
- Party Damage Taken Per Second 4165
- Overheal 48%/50%
- Combined Healer DPS 146

So its rare and you dont give people time to learn it in a particular fight even though they only had 2 goes at it? Well thats just my point. Wipefest is wipe fest and even after I left they still didnt clear for a while. I think groups learn together or you can only get someone whos cleared before at that rate. Even so how do healers get chance to learn the windows? If you only want those that know it? Kind of proves what Im saying really. And will add her that the group had to get carried in the end by some the best players on zodiark and yes we are all still learning not like you people that can one shot stuff in two weeks without overhealing and pro healer dps. Your the rare ones actually not my situation

And at that time look up fflogs a9s scholar healing 4500hps and 95% active a9s. I had to main heal. Cos no one else was keeping party up and might add we were really just starting savage at that time. So yes I was bulied with a parser even though Im using one here to validate what I say is correct.

I started to write something else, and decided that I'm not sure where to even start on this.....and as such that was the reason of me saying those are pretty rare situations.

Like the situation that happened maybe didn't go down like it seems. I don't know the whole thing just seems pretty blown out of proportion.

Take for example -
: A9S - 11 Days of progression over almost 4 weeks @ an average of 12 wipes per attempt with a total of 3 clears - That's 132 attempts on just that fight before the best overall attempt of
145 Combined Healer DPS with only 44% combined over healing @ 4083 HPS and 3819 Party Damage per second.

Not saying that your co-healer was perfect, but you must understand the position SCH was in to provide extra DPS especially when your overhealing was causing excessive overheal on your co-healer (Regens not being able to tick. Pet AI not healing anything below 80% HP)

Also a lot of the people in those runs are currently 90th % or above atm.

IMO - That group gave you the benefit of the doubt to run that long and that's something to be thankful for.

An in-game text description still does not have any relevance to how the jobs actually work in the game (what abilities they have available, how battles are designed and so on). Again, an example from FFXI, Ninja was described and designed as a DD class, but was played as a tank in game. How the jobs and battles actually work (= what the job is capable of) are the things that define the expectations towards the players.

And in the chat box for the explanation of tanks. It says they are all about taking attacks and being defensive? Is that all they do? By that logic they should never focus on dps or be off tanks or anything else, comeon...you are all not stupid. Quit justifying cowardliness/laziness.Something bad MIGHT happen! I don't FEEL like doing it. You all know better than to use these excuses...they never hold up.

You know, there's one place I actually struggle trying to DPS with as WHM and that's Dun Scaith, particularly Miss Thirty Souls. I find that people just die to that fight left and right from Shadespin and that one move she does where she charges and launches an AoE, and there's not much I can do to really stop them from dying once the debuffs stack. Having to also manage people not standing still for that one detrimental effect cuts into that as well so I typically just don't even attempt to DPS for that fight anymore.

It simply wasnt he case and you dont know the situation, I was main healer at the time. I wish you read my posts. I was not even asked to dps prior to a10s. With everything I say on here you just take bits out then attempt to discredit it in some way instead of understanding the points I try to make. We were just starting savage and was casual. I was not pro dps scholar and was the first time id ever attempted any savage and that was the case for half the group. Do people like you ever need to learn anything or are you perfect straight away? Thats just mocking and really thats why i say people are toxic on here. I would never laugh about people learning things from your high seat up there in top 3% and I actually thought you seemed a decent person. (referring to imo I shoul be grateful they gave me a run) Does that mean Im not supposed to be in a group cos Im learning savage or cos i didnt play scholar the way the meta says? The add to this its that attitude that made me post here in the first place, and people like that thinking they are the only ones entitled to play in content because they are so 'highly skilled' and too good for the learners to play with. I even made it quite clear that I wasnt an expert player before I joined and was told 'thats ok its just for fun, there other peopl here got no raid experience as well'.

What I'm sure has been mentioned and is getting drowned out in waves and waves of fighting and "b-b-but muh optimal play style!" is that healers are not DPS. But they're capable of helping out if they can find a comfortable way to do so. People call it being lazy or wasting their precious mmo time but not everyone can multi manage especially in dungeons where everyone's HP is melting all the time.

People aren't getting that everyone does not learn the same nor will they feel comfortable suddenly being told to change the way they play because it's so much better... for other people. The game was designed for the lowest player capability in mind. In EX/Savage content, sure, have all the hissy fits you want. It's supposed to be special. People have problems even on unsync. But in a story dungeon or just about anything where DPS is not a major priority (Like, Aurum Vale or something) people just need to calm down.

Anyway, I decided to see what shade of green the grass was on the Japanese side and got to Sastasha. Already it was an entirely different experience because the healer spammed Malefic on mobs when the tank was fine. People are going on about DO IT DO IT TO IT DPS but I only see this kind of crying on the forums. The healer helped. It worked. And the run was by all means tranquil.
