At people asking for in-game improvements, yes. Funny how anyone against the idea just uses this kind of argument instead a of good reason to not change it, oh yeah cause there isn't a good reason not to change it.

Getting choice for a new or older reward for a top 100/30/10 finish in any season is just better then what we currently have period. Like I said lv70 pvp will change and I'm pretty certain SE will revisit old rewards one way or another, it's all a matter of time so just got to wait and that is perfectly fair and very much how SE normally do things. Timed exclusion is fine as long as people still have a chance at it in the future. Like choosing a single reward for top 100/30 or repeating old seasons of lv60 feast when lv70 mode comes out. People wanting others to be locked out of the possibility of items in the future forever completely makes very little sense to me. Seems childish and needing to feel special or something like I got something you don't and can't get type stuff, which is selfish, and mostly ego driven. I have legacy tattoo and mounts and I have no problem with SE allowing others to get these items now as there is no reason for it to be exclusive forever. It's been exclusive for long enough. Maybe make the requirement play for x amount of years and have a total achievement points of 10k then under go a special time traveling quest taking you back to a 1.0 area etc. I don't agree with items being put in cash shop over putting them in game with hard ways to get them but having multiple rewards that are only gotten from single feast seasons never to return is over the top exclusive and in need of improvement as well as fixes to pvp for those seasons. No reason to either not revisit old seasons for lv60 feast when new lv70 comes out or keep new rewards coming out but allow old ones to be a reward choice instead.

WoW doesn't let you get Elite versions of season gear once the season ends.

Same applies to top 100.

If SE actually cares about the fact they made these rewards exclusive in the first place they won't do what you are asking them to do.

The issue is, IF this were allowed, it would give rise to 2 different problems:

1. People would be less motivated to compete, or there would be less competition in a given season since you can just do it later and get what you want anyways.
2. People will want to double dip, i.e. "I won in Season 4, now let me have the Season 2 prize AND my Season 4 prize".

The Feast is already dire enough currently. We don't need to deflate the competition even more than it already is, simply to appease people who missed out/didn't win before. That's just NOT how competitions work.

Thankfully FFXIV is not WoW, now there might be some things that are the same like many mmorpgs but FFXIV has it's own style of handling things that mostly have to do with certain time line changes, patch reveals, and incentives for older content.

What are you even posting in my thread for? Like is there a point? Participation giving rewards has nothing to do with anything I posted because you still have to get in top 100/30 for a season so yeah...?

1. I've literally seen people just skip out on even PvE content because they can just do it later. You think skipping a competition and still being able to get the reward later would be different?
2. So why not just compete IN those two seasons? It's one thing if you missed out entirely; that's not that player's fault. If they competed and didn't win, well, that's just how it goes. But there's no going back.
