... I never saw a vote kick complete so fast before. Best part was, they didn't even get to finish their rant.

Some people just need to be marked as toxic instead of given a crown...

I still stand by the belief that a lot of people unlock the mentor crown just to feel special and to believe they are the true font of knowledge and everyone should respect them and the whole they want a pretty crown by their name.

I finally unlocked the crown myself after finally getting enough commendations but I just can't bring myself to display it due to the hate and prejudice a lot of people already have towards them.

Are you familiar with those moments that leave you unsure wether to be sad or happy? When you're not sure if you want to cry, cheer or just yell at the person in question?

Let me tell you not one but two of those stories that happend today!

First one: Dun Scaith. The person in question is a dragoon whos wearing 4 drops from there, so you can safely assume hes done this raid for the past 4 weeks. Yet he gets killed by the hand during Scathach-fight (running from it, instead of looking at it). When I explained the mechanic to him, he was at least so nice to say "thanks" - still eludes me that hes been doing this content for a month and has no clue what to do.
So I begin to keep an eye on him and notice something even more odd - hes not using heavy thrust. After 2 minutes in the Diabolos-fight and no sign of the buff, I tell him.
Pro: He doesnt flip out on me but just says "k" and starts using it.
Con: He is a level 60 dragoon, in "endgame" for a month and had to be told to use that skill.

Second one, shortly after - AK HM for level 50 roulette, we're getting a bard, great company for my BLM-friend, right?
Wrong! Even though this bard is level 60 and knows how to sing, Foes is the one song they dont like. We get swift song (yes, please run ahead of me, the tank), TP-song (okay, you needed that, granted) and MP-song (which I dont understand since the healer isnt dpsing at all, so no one needs MP...)
When I tell them to use Foes instead and explain why, they actually do... oh and again: Level 60.
Pro: Bard used songs.
Con: Bard had no idea what songs do and needed explantion of that.

It's possible he just never had the hands on him before. I've only had them ONCE in all the times I've run Dun Scaith, and I died. xD I didn't know you had to turn and look at them, so I'm glad I read your post. Now hopefully I can remember that in case it ever happens to me again.

one of the 2 dps wanted to kick him but i refused and the other dps too seemed to have decline

we managed to clear the dung tho, was exciting

When you're the healer and your tank pops blood for blood...

Did my World of Darkness run for the week today.

It started off very shaky. On the first boss, the tanks somehow died and everything went downhill from there and we wiped.

Some people began expressing their frustration of having wiped. One guy kept pulling the boss when we weren't ready which only added to the frustration.

But then, we had 3-4 people step up to constructively explain all the mechanics. They thoroughly covered every mechanic to watch out for, and I tried to mention anything they may have missed.

They proceeded to do this for every boss afterwards. The rest of the run went very smoothly.

It's amazing how well runs go when everyone communicates constructively instead of pointing fingers at each other

Ran into the worst healer I've ever seen in my life in an Amdapor Keep (Hard) run that started at [11:26 p.m.] and ended at [12:12 a.m.] when I, as a tank, joined 19 minutes session in progress...

So I enter the dungeon thinking I'm going to help someone via Mentor Roulette as usual, and I notice the healer states

Hey! what's your problem

when lead me to say "hum?", then they follow up with

Our healer is shit, and Our DPS - dont get me started

So I figured the last tank was a jerk so I joked around and I notice that despite being 19 minutes session in progress, they didn't even beat the first boss yet. So after buffs, I proceed to start the fight and the healer dies shortly after due to them not healing themselves after the lightning then they say "does anyone know what the actual fuck i am doing wrong" and after we whipe I proceed to give out thorough instructions on each of the boss's mechanics in a friendly manner. I notice her HP is a whopping 3k whereas the other DPS are in the 7k range, but just figure this is a new player. We continue the fight, she does slightly better but dies again due to not healing or doing mechanics and the summoner raises her, then the summoner ends up being killed and we beat the first boss. Still at this point I'm just considering them an inexperienced player and not bothered, continuing with joking around making sure people feel welcomed.

We make it to the second boss and before we start I explain each of the mechanics and explain before hand that if you get aggro from the adds, come to me and I'll grab the hate off you. Things are going fine albeit she isn't healing all too much, I think she even entered the fight a little late. Anyway, when the final 3 adds spawn, I immediately go towards her but she's starting to walk away from me and they kill her one second too late before I get there cause she didn't come to me nor was she attempting to heal herself or anything and seemingly panicked. "Okay, it happens" I thought, thinking it just caught her off guard. When we get back to the boss fight, I reiterate that if you get aggro, come to me, and I then ask her if she has stoneskin (she is on a level 51 AST atm and I figured if she casted stoneskin on herself it'd help keep her alive). She never responds to the stoneskin comment and mentions she has to go pee so I say, "go ahead, I don't mind waiting". At some point I look at her gear and notice she has a Item Level 55 Weapon and Body piece of armor and her armor is random all over the place with a item level 120 headgear.

She returns and states that "you guys dont know how hard this healing is when I have a scholar 60" and then, "get hit by nothing, and follow that tank". At this point I'm starting to get confused, not only does she have a level 60 SCH, but if that is the case why isn't she equpping better gear or playing better than this? I then say to her "its prob difficult cause your using level 55 weapon" she states "can I get a better?" and I follow with "yeah MB has cheap item level 100 weapons". So we enter the fight again, and then I react to the adds instantly this time, however I end up dying because she isn't healing us enough it's almost as if she's watching Netflix or hoping the SCH fairy will randomly appear and do her job for her. So after we whipe I state that "Hmm (persons name) you gotta heal more no offense". The next time we win, she dies again and the other DPS die and it's down to me and the final DPS that's alive and we win. She states that "no one can say that went well... but we won!".

So we get to the final fight...and this is where I start getting annoyed. I plainly explain each of the mechanics of this fight before we start, we enter and she's still not healing much at all, but we get to the point where the boss is near death. Since she dies in this fight for not healing herself again, me and the other DPS are trying to kill the boss before we die. The 2 DPS eventually fall and I'm left soloing as DRK, and it's going fine because I keep healing myself and I still have Living Dead. He's at 1% and I'm about to win this fight for us, but then he turns me into jelly and I cannot attack and since the DPS are dead, they cannot free me and we whipe.

So after this happens I state "just heal (persons name), your gear is too low to dps" (I couldn't tell if they were DPSing, I don't think they were since they never used Cleric's...). We proceed with the fight again and things are going fine, except for the very first time on this fight she gets tethered and we free her very quickly, but she just stands there and doesn't move and thus gets insta one shotted and we whipe. At this point I'm annoyed and I cannot tell if this person is literally this bad or trolling us and the healer starts saying some odd things after this which left me confused.

So I focus on healing myself and keeping myself alive as possible using temp items, she seems to be healing better but not amazing or anything, and at a certain point I tell the SMN if I die to use Titan even though I was at full health then cause I did not feel like repeating that fight for the 4th time after I've spent so much time in this level 50 dungeon as is with someone who isn't even trying. We proceed to win and after the Melee DPS cheers I wave to the two DPS and leave.

Dear god...I cannot believe I joined something 19 minutes in progress that ended up taking this long. My only assumption at this point is that the healer was carried by friends and the SCH pet healing for her.

Ironically enough, I also did my Mentor Roulette today for fun and got a 19min inprog WP (Hard). I joined just as the tank and healer booted both the DPS. A BRD joined shortly after me. They were also on the first boss. I asked what happened, but no one ever answered me.

My healer was new, but they did good considering. DPS was kind of low, but the healer wasn't DPSing and the tank wasn't using Darkside or anything other than his enmity combo. I was on BLM and the BRD played me Foe's so that was nice. The only issue we had was with the last boss and the doom, I explained it and we did wipe, but she got it the second go around. Definitely nothing like the dungeon you experienced even though the set up (inprog, 19min, first boss, unsure healer) was eerily similar.

Yeah, like that kind of situation I can perfectly get by with. In fact, I wish I had gotten your run haha! Like if the healer in my party just spammed AST's equivalent of Cure I, that would've been far better than what occurred. It's like they were legit AFK watching Netflix or something, or just that bad (which frightens me at the thought of a level 60 player being this bad). I know everyone starts somewhere, but that was legit some of the worse play I've seen in any online game.

And funny coincidence.
