I liked being able to get a bonus while purchasing something I wanted from Amazon. It would have been nice if they had been able to hit up the other Amazon sites though since NA isn't just the US and I know a lot of Canadians had issues.

I can't say I had any issue myself.
That being said though, don't you feel it's a bit unfair to the Japanese that would need to buy a bunch of conbini to get this stuff and we can just drop money into the mogstation?

Ooooooh. I really hope they do go with Amazon for NA again, and do it before June, because I haven't gotten around to preordering Stormblood yet, so this would be perfect timing for me.

I'd say it would be unfair to charge us directly for the items when the Japanese players get them for free with stuff they might have been buying anyway.

So it definitely doesn't work for everyone because I'm not going on a 16 hour overnight trip just to get FFXIV stuff from a 7/11 lol

I don't think keeping it a 7/11 promo is a good idea because Amazon reaches more people in NA I think.

I am aware that this was based on pure selfishness lol and I would agree with you, if you could chose the items you like to purchase from any category. Having it limited to their gaming section for example, is nothing I look forward too. I don't want to purchase some $20/25 game I never gonna play just because I wanted some add on items for ffxiv. And yes I am aware that you could just purchase it, cancel it, redeem the code etc. But I wasn't going or willing to go through all that hassle. I also didn't think about that some states might not have 7-11's everywhere and I would like to apologize for that, for me personally all that came to my mind was, oh yea 7-11 promo we got that all over the place, it's easy for people to get their stuff that way.

It's funny because before I was aware of the restrictions I was super excited to get the items with the ant bait I so badly needed! Upon seeing the restrictions I went with FF Explorers which turned out to be less than fun on a normal 3ds. There was much more selection to choose from after that first day when I jumped on the promo. It would be nice if you could just enter a promo code on Amazon and meet the target purchase total instead.

I thought they had to buy drinks? If Square really wanted to do a good promo they could make a toy drive for children's hospitals or something. Make $20-ish versions of the moogle/carbuncle plushes available, but you're purchasing them to get sent out to children's hospitals. In return for your donation you get a code pack.

Could just keep it a 711 campaign/promo, I got one right across the street from where I work and one right down the street from where I live. I constantly buy tons of items there especially at night or in the early morning hrs. I wouldn't have to go out of my way if I wanted to participate, compared to ordering from amazon or some other weird method.

Like Miste, the closest 7/11 to me is in another Province entirely. I don't there are more than a handful in Canada period come to think of it. So if they insist on these silly "go buy something" promotions, then make it Amazon and please include Amazon.ca this time. And the EU equivalent. They got screwed last time.

If they go with Amazon again, they might make it a monthly game loot for having Twitch Prime. Twitch Prime is something new that they started since the last FFXIV Amazon promo and they will probably like to promote it.
