Well, odds are most of the value lies in the house then. Post a party finder and see what kind of offers you get, either for the fc or just for the plot. Be open, be honest, and don't let yourself get swindled.

Here's the problem with that, and yes I know people will discuss that with me over 100 pages, but I rather let you know instead of you ending up in trouble.
Apparently and Allegedly selling an housing plot is against the ToS, since in the past people have been taken advantage off and it didn't went in a good direction. From an older live letter, Yoshi mentioned that selling your plot is not against the rules, as long as you don't take advantage of people. I don't think we really know if it's allowed or if it isn't since apparently the rule set or interpretation seems to differ.
I would not recommend re selling the housing plot, just sell everything in that house that you can sell via MB/NPC since some items are bound transfer that house to an alt, and wait the 45 days (don't log onto that alt), the system will then demolish the house and you can go to the npc and get a couple of gil back after that's done. (if they have enabled that by now)
Again, I would if you are interested in housing, keep the house till the expansion or even the day when transferring houses into the new zone is available. Why? Because of the buffs you could use for leveling the new characters and because while there might be a fee, transferring your new house into the new zone, it's most likely much lower than purchasing a complete new one. And if you are playing on a more pop server, sorry never played on Lamia so i wouldn't know, you might run into the problem of not having even houses available.
But again it's your call, I am just trying to point out some different perspectives.
Since you're not actually selling the house/plot, it's a tricky subject. All you can technically do is take the money and promise to demolish/remove/abandon/whatever the house for the buyer to then put more money into buying for themselves.
Although, being an FC, might be a slightly different situation, given you can instead recruit the buyer and just transfer all ownership.
I was in the same situation myself about a year ago now. Most of the FC decided to migrate to a more active group. I held onto things mostly just in case anyone came back and wanted to know what happened. But also I like the idea of having a little FC that, if I get the chance, I could use to help new players along.
Besides, staying in the FC at least means I can't get spammed with more FC invites.
He isn't selling a plot though he is selling a FC. There is a big difference between the two, a player who buys a personal house pays twice once to relinquish and another to purchase. An FC actually has value as you are selling the house, furniture, airships, the time it took to open up routes, prototypes etc.Apparently and Allegedly selling an housing plot is against the ToS, since in the past people have been taken advantage off and it didn't went in a good direction. Not saying I agree with prices people charge or the selling of personal houses I just don't think you can compare the two. Problem still boils down to SE dragging their feet with the housing issue. Many constant broken promises about adding houses, apartments(Ishgard), Ishgard wards etc. The whole system is broken.

I am aware that this are two different things, and in my personal opinion both should be allowed. However I can't go by my personal opinion and since game support doesn't give out a clear statement if it's either allowed or not allowed, I made that post, pointing out that if someone feels report happy that day, it could back fire since we all don't know 100% if it is or isn't against the ToS. I just think it's a good indicator and something to keep in mind, when going either route of selling or not selling house plots or full fc's with house plots. Maybe it's the so called "loop hole" and he/she will be fine at the end, but I personally would take it into consideration when trying to get rid of an fc/house.
I'm fairly certain that what is against the TOS is purchasing a housing plot with the explicit intent of reselling it, though it's possible I'm wrong.
