As I said before, you accumulate them just playing the game, there are more ways of getting Lore than just dungeons. Some people, like myself right now since I'm holding off on another Anima, sit at 2000/2000 Lore. I don't need Lore armour, so what else would I get?

I did every relic step before umbrite (since 2.0) without complaint. Even the original atma farming didn't phase me because I could zone out or AFK at any point without worry. But holy crap that umbrite step was insanely painful even when I didn't spam one dungeon. I casually got lore for months and still did not complete it. After awhile I stopped doing relic until that step was nerfed. I had cleared everything(savage) and gotten my ilvl275 alex weapon so it wasn't a big deal but...I had never given up on relic before umbrite. It's not so much what the step is(farming for lore) but the sheer amount needed was horrible. Now that its nerfed its better tho.

THIS! I have a friend that, I think, is doing a relic for every single job. While I'm about ready to tear my hair out from just doing one. And THIS is the umbrite stepped nerfed! Personally I think they need to halve it again. Even running roulettes every day is boring as heck to me. But if they nerfed it again people would complain that everyone is getting it easy and that we're "entitled" or something. But adding other options would be lovely. Since the sand has blue scripts, why can't the umbrites be red scripts? Or even scriptures as well as lore? Just something other than ONLY lore.

Funny thing... I have 2 completed Animas and 1 more at the final light step and what I can say is this... The first Anima you complete is the hardest, every subsequent one is easier because while you're grinding the one you're currently on you are also able to get the materials and items for the others. There are a lot of places where the Anima steps overlap that you're getting stuff you can use to complete other steps at the same time.
Cases in point: Doing the weekly for oils gives you Poetics you can put towards Unidentifiables or Penumbrites. Grinding FATEs for crystals gives you GC seals you can buy the other items you need. Grinding Light gets you Lore you can use on Umbrites and Penumbrites.
Based on this, every new Anima you do benefits from all the activities you did for the other steps. This is a symbiosis that the previous relic didn't have and once you learn to leverage that symbiosis, getting your subsequent Animas is a lot less tedious than the first.
