I'd only play one if they were short and cute like in the second picture. I don't care if some weridos think they look like kids and want to make drama out of it. The same thing happened with lalas and thankfully those weridos stopped posting. lol

I just hate tall giraffe neck character models. :c

As i stated before, inevitably it brings more hassle than its worth and simply not caring about the issues is something the development team dose not have the luxury of.

(changes made to gear for Elin race to accommodate different regions with more severe laws concerning sexual references and or depictions of youthful characters)

I want Viera, i would not mind strong tall lithe females and smaller framed lithe males. An elegant but fierce, proud race deeply connected to spiritual forces of Hydalen or a new variant that still holds to their depictions in FFXII. However not children, never that, i would have them more as want than have that wretched form of child player character option.

I don't know if SE want FFXIV to be spoken about as an MMO where people can ERP as small bunny children.

I would say that none of that is ok, is absolutely disgusting and should be reported immediately. People like to bring up the idea of since it's already happening it's ok to add ways to facilitate and encourage depraved/ disgusting acts by introducing even more options to fetishize. That mind set is not only sad (in that one gives into abohrant behavior in doing so rewards it) but incredibly short sided (allowing the spread of said behavior to flourish).

Your looking at the same concept art right? They don't look human. Look at the side picture, they're faces resemble that of a rabbits but body proportions of a slight larger lalafell with longer legs. I think you just have a strange way of looking at these character that make them all look like children, in which case your being rather hypocritical right now. Lala's do indeed look like children, but they're simply not. These may look like children, but they're also not. Your making it seem worse than it is. :/

And yes, I'm in full support of Viera as the next race. Not many other candidates are spoken of more than this to begin with.

Viera is a race of Ivalice, form Final Fantasy Tactics universe. It is better not mix different universes. And, before someone reply, the Ivalice form Stormblood is not the same Ivalice than Tactics. It is is own version.

Look at the side picture, they're faces resemble that of a rabbits but body proportions of a slight larger lalafell with longer legs. I think you just have a strange way of looking at these character that make them all look like children, in which case your being rather hypocritical right now. Twist the words as you will, objectification of children will never not elicit a strong biased reaction from me, that said i have never said i did not want a new race of adult characters, characters that the aforementioned issues would not apply to.

The art of the child like Veira i cannot help but think they are simply the child variant of the race, much like every other race has child variants (Au Ra homeland on the way those should be soon to follow, in which case i expect there to be threads asking to play as Au Ra kids...). That being a possibility i feel they are/ never were the option proposed (i concede i could be wrong).

Ah, well if thats the case then I guess I don't have much to say to that. That concept art was for the actual race, they just look that way, like Lala's. Maybe they have a more famous idea in mind; I just have no issues with this concept art or any of the others at this point.

I don't think they look like children either.

It creeps me out a little that some people think they look like children, then the very next thing they think about is the sexualization of them.

Maybe I'm wrong to be creeped out by these peoples thought process... but I'd never think about this "issue" if these people never brought it up.
