Please understand that I, like many other people, spend a long time designing my characters because I take them seriously, so this kind of thing can be a bit discouraging.

You have created a conscious carbon copy of my character K’mih; you didn’t even bother inverting the position of her bicoloured eyes *falls over*. But now you are trying to pose her as your original creation by saying things like “a similar looking character to mine” and “coincidence”. You are even trying to pass her as a generic character that looks like anyone else just to justify your cloning, which I’m afraid she’s not. Let’s also note that she was created before ARR was released, and I’ve been posting her in tumblr and fanarts –also here in the official forums from time to time- for years, so she’s not exactly an obscure character either.

Please forgive me, and I beg for you to understand my feelings, but I find what you are trying to do quite disrespectful. I’m not really cool with it ;

I have to agree with you here. I'd be really sad if someone copied my character from head to toe. They haven't just emulated the look of yours, it's exactly the same. Hair/colour, skin colour, face paint/colour, eye colour/heterochromia, make up.

Clover posted her's long ago before yours so you could at least be honest about your characters originality.

I remember when the webpage popped up for the Little Ladies Day event and I saw the hat, I almost squealed in delight. It's just so adorable! I went to getting the hat immediately and took a liking to the top as well. Unfortunately my old hair style clipped with the hat, so I had to change to a new one for it, and I think its quite cute! (though I do miss the black spots on my ears) feat. my highlander hubby

I ended up really sticking to the pink hair I initially put on my character as a joke. It feels weird because blue hair used to be my signature thing, but he just really rocks the pink somehow.

I completely agree too. There's just way too much in common between these characters to say they're "just similar" to each other. It's not a case of the characters having the same general hair color but a slightly different shade and darker highlights, even minute details are exactly the same. I was surprised and disappointed when that comment was posted, and a little worried you'd stop posting here because of it. :O

Now I am convinced there are more cats like K'mih running around, be it very similiar or just with certain aspects. That's the burden you take by posting here on the forums or elsewhere, making the design accessible for a lot of people.

That being said I find it questionable to come here, boasting with a design you have not created yourself. It would probably be fine if K'mih was some sort of inspiration because that is (at least for me) flattering - but give credit. I would not take kindly to someone carbon-copying my character and then trying to pretend the whole thing just "came" to them. So I can totally understand Clover's frustration. Some might not care too much about their characters (and I, too, might be one of them since I change so often), but I know roleplayers do on a different level than the casual player.
