    Adjustable Interior Configurations

    Hello,

We have skins for the outside of our house, but the inside of our houses are all laid out the same for houses of their tier. It would be nice if there were an item that would let us set different configurations for the interior of our house. For instance, in large house the interior could be set up to utilize more of the top floor, and remove the walls on the two rooms upstaris.

For small houses, there could maybe be a spiral staircase or something that goes downstairs and makes the upstairs a bit bigger (since the stairway will be smaller), similarly for medium houses.

It could just be an item that we apply to the house that would change the predefined interior configuration, that way people could divide up their house more of how they want and have some more variety inside rather than a cookie cutter interior.

I mostly just want to get rid of those stupid pillars that break up the walls.

Been requesting for this a couple times, not even a "your suggestion has been passed to the development team" reply on it sadly.

I really think this would bring more personalization into houses ^^

I think the problem with being able to customize the interior like that I believe it's instanced interiors, I don't know what complications there would be to be able to change the basic design.

I think they could at least allow players to choose where the fc private chambers door goes without having to change the technical side of how interiors work. A door isn't as complicated as stairs, walls or floors.

You could add a "layout" or "floorplan" option and pick from a few of those. there could be a more split level option, different staircase placements, and wainscotting/trim etc. You should be able to paint interior walls as well, now they have the white walls.

What I think would be one of the biggest problems with configurations is changing the layouts of already decorated interiors. I would assume to prevent clipping with any furniture (stairways, doorways, walls, etc popping up in the middle of stuff,) that you would only be able to change completely empty houses. Sure, you could pick up all of your stuff (that doesn't get destroyed when you retrieve it) but for bigger houses, that is a lot of bag space. Then, of course, there are the aforementioned items that can't be put back in your inventory and will need to be replaced. It certainly would be really nice to move a door or a light as needed, but I imagine it would be quite the hassle and unfortunately I really don't see square spending the time or effort on it at the moment. :/

Since it's always the same amount of items allowed, they could simply pop up a warning that item placement willl be alterted if confirming a new layout and then just squish all the items in one spot in the middle of the main floor's entryway. The player can just pick apart the pile from there.

They could also just require the house to be empty to do an interior change maybe.
