Why you love playing healer

I started healing because i was smn and quee was way to long (roulettes didnt even exist) so i went sch and it was boring as hell (it is still very boring to do dungeons) but once i start raiding omg healers where awesome, basically u cant derp ever or is almost a wipe, i remember titan hm if i miss a cast from moving of plumes the tank would die xd.

And also i dont trust this responsability to anybody else.

I just ran my first HW dungeon, and it gave me a nice refresher why I love this role so much. I had been running known content now for months since I gated my main job's leveling any further until I got all of my DoH and DoL caught up to them. To run an instance I've never done brought it all back. The anxiety, the excitement, the not knowing what's coming, feeling my heart rate increase during the boss fights, and the "yeah, I read the guide, but I still don't know this fight."

Seeing myself tossed into the air when I failed a mechanic made me feel like Agent J, and my buddy who was with me was like K, saying, "Don't worry, she does this all the time." It was such a blast, and even when the tank and other DPS ran in during the final boss's cutscene before I could load in, my friend asked me, "Let'em burn?" I said, "No. Don't worry, I deal with this ALL the time!"

The instance was very satisfying because I had a nice ratio of healing to DPS. There were no wipes, and just enough chaos to make things interesting. It left a great impression of HW, and I can't wait to take on the Lord of the Hive!

I always lvl up all tank and heals first.Started out as war main till gordias and I kind of got fed up being ot doing dirt work,so I decided to switch to astro and stick with it.I tend to change between the tank/heal role regarding the content.Astro and whm are my preferences. I just don't like the scholar that much,fairy is annoying imo and the warrior as stated before (quite the irony)

As for now PLD/DRK/ASTRO/WHM.Doing anima on my main astro,pld gonna be next.Rly looking forward to SB and hoping SE makes pld/whm great again

Because in every game that has involved a healer, I have played that class if not at first, soon afterwards. I like to heal because I am supportive of my friends and people in general.. and well healers support. Not only that, but it was always a sweet feeling when I joined a dungeon in process that desperately needed a healer, and their happy reactions just made me feel..really good..like I am brightening their day. I know it may sound silly but..yeah..

I live for the moments when things go wrong. It's very satisfying to take a dire situation and turn it around. Nothing in this game makes me sadder than when I'm in Dun Scaith as a DPS and people start getting killed. I feel so powerless; all I can do is keep doing damage while everything around me is on fire. But as a healer I can do something about it. I'm not ashamed to say I secretly hope that people mess up mechanics because it's a fun challenge to try and overcome.

i like to play healers in other games because I love being support. Unfortunately in this game support only comes in hybrid dps. (yes i'm including whm, ast, and sch in this since that is what they actually are. one of the reasons i don't like healing in this game as well as guild wars 2 in particular).

When I heal, I always like the feeling of being the one who keeps everybody alive and helping others break their potential through buffs. Being that pillar of strength in the background that the enemy never notices.

I play as a healer because I like to be supportive to my group. Be it to heal up the party or do damage to the enemies.

I agree that pld and wmg are the most straight forward of classes to play. It seems that to make them great would also make them more complex. There may be a reason why pld and wmg are made less complex to cater for players preference. there's possibly scope to make them great without complexity though maybe.

I prefer to heal because I feel that it is more dynamic, less "1-2-3" than other roles. I like watching and being ready to react fast. I like having to think on my feet and prioritise in crisis situations and I like the feeling like a powerful angel watching over my team, protecting them.

Because nothing can compare to the smug feeling you get when a boss unleashes their raidwide ultimate and not a single point of HP damage is taken.

I've been seriously tempted sometimes to ask the tanks in A12 not to use LB3 on Divine Judgement just because I'm so convinced I can mitigate it on my own.
