In which case I should warn you, I'm from EU and have an alt on a JP server, and the latency is pretty bad. Far from impossible to play with, but if you enjoy raiding, extreme fights etc. you're going to struggle timing and avoiding attacks. I was considering moving myself, but the effect it had on my playIng was too jarring and I imagine I'd be more of a hindrance than help in difficult content.
