ermmm, if NO ONE pays after mid-december, the game won't die.
They'll simply take it offline until 2.0
But some people WILL, and enough that they'll keep using us as the valuable beta testers we are.
They're just hoping for a financial boost and they'll get it.
The numbers don't matter yet.

Some players get really volatile if you refer to this other build that isnt the final launch build as the beta build. Companies don't charge to play in beta so.. therefor this is not beta

*yawn* I am so sick of the naysaying constantly. I can't wait until 2.0 and this game becomes something big and amazing. Currently, it's fun, but when 2.0 launches I think it's going to be the Phoenix reborn.

this game wont die. people will pay. and the people who stay will have the proud knowledge they were here the whole time and can rub it into the people who left. when they come back and be like yeah iv been here since day 1,

and from what iv noticed from mmo's mostly the people that have been around for the hard times and since day 1 end up being the totally kick ass players

he spoke the truth and u ignored the facts like all you loyalist have done. im sure you dont want it to die but u have no choice. the small group that plays this game will not keep it floating.

It's funny how you call someone a 'loyalist', yet your avatar and levels alone shows you continue to play this game yet are perpetually negative about it.

Because when there' snot much to do, we stand around in Uldah naked casting spells on each other to test mechanics.

There are some interesting things to be learned by doing so, actually. I've been sworn to secrecy, so I can't say what exactly. lol

if i remember the game is 12.99$ a month not if they change there minds about that.

Guess he forgetting how many strong ff fans there is in the world i agree ffxiv not going to have 10mil players but it going to have at least a strong 2-4mil at best by 1year time of 2.0

This game will never have 2-4 million subs ever. FFXI a far superior product never made the 800K mark, let alone 1million, this game to date has not sold 1 million copies :/ I'm not saying the game will die, but it will fail, and remain a shadow of what it could have been, even if it did good good, it will probably get what FFXI did at it's prime, 500k, not a bad number, but not what was intended when they decided to make this game.

The game doesn't need to sell 1 million copies to be successful, SE just needs to not lose money on the game after all is said and done.
