Given how many times this topic comes up insisting players enforce this on others, I'm fairly cynical on that point. Maybe I just want to keep on not caring instead of kicking people and pretending I'm doing them a favor.
they don't want people to reverse engineer it. Also how are you stopping the harassment. A sub-par healer is a healer who isn't healing the group.
dpsing as a healer is an arbitrary rule players made up. Nice bonus. I never once see anyone ask healers to dps... I seen them being forced to with insults like "looking to carry"
Look at your past replies on other things, before jumping up and saying "im not harassing anyone"..I know a few i see already who have in previous threads.
A more skilled playerbase helps everyone. Maybe you really don't care, but it's still true. Everyone benefits when the average skill in DF goes up.
No one benefits in reality, all this does is stress people out and makes people miserable. Which in turn will make them play poorly. A good healer should be encouraged to have good timing on which cures to use, when. When to use buffs when to use regen. As i see people flub this up often, just to pump out dps. I don't consider that good play.
That's your idea of sub-par? Not healing enough to clear? That's a really low bar you've set.
Just healing is like a tank who just spams Flash to hold threat. He's doing his job, technically. Or a DPS who just does a 1-2-3 rotation. You'll still clear eventually.
The bar doesn't have to be "well, we cleared it". We, as a community, can be better than that.
I see people say this all the time and this point is moot. SE didnt give healers DPS skills for dungeons they were given these skills so they can solo and do story/side quests. That being said if you are a healer that can DPS then hey why not. To say all healers need to DPS well that again goes back to "play style". Logically though a healers main job is to heal and as long as that is being done and time isnt wasted with a needless wipe then im good with it.
Yeah, basically. Like healer DPS is obviously better than healer jumping around in circles, but the way to promote it is by being supportive and encouraging, not trolling and flaming people.

"Wait, that's not an improvement at all? It is sad and pointless? But my cutthroat and critical personality can only benefit the game!"
Uhhh so SE is giving you DPS skills just for quests? That sounds like a waste of resources and skill slots. So, to me, what you are saying doesn't make sense. These skills are there to be used on ANY content: dungeons, raids, open world, quests. Also, I didn't do the training grounds but doesn't it tell you that you should dps if there is nothing to heal?I see people say this all the time and this point is moot.
