People keep missing the bigger point that something greater than 2 of the best weapon accomplishments/rewards in game was literally patched in, out of cycle, and available by means far less demanding or involved than the other two. Seriously, it's not the weapon. It's the method. It's the bad precedent it sets. It's the idea that they can do this whenever they want, and expect people to be okay with it.

Sure, you might argue "well it doesn't take away from me getting good gear/weapons already" or "there's going to be better stuff later anyways", but if we're playing that card, why bother raiding now? There's gonna be a new raid in a few more months. And then another tier after that. Oh, and dungeon gear will be better than that raid gear anyways, so why bother doing anything? I mean, why not just wait for catch up patch handouts?

Rhetoric aside, I've said time and again, no one wants to feel like their efforts weren't worth it. Raiders don't want to feel like the time and effort they put into applying their skills to obtain high end raid rewards are easily overstepped by an RNG addition in sub-raid level content. And while the relic is meant to be a long, less demanding road, it's always been meant to produce one of the best results. Except once more, easily overstepped, and low chance of obtaining it hardly justifies the precedent it sets.

Again, if anyone doesn't possibly get it after 40 pages: The weapon itself is not what bothers people. The idea that time, effort, and skill put into obtaining what's established as high end rewards can be so easily overstepped by content less demanding of those 3 factors.
