I've been under the impression that those system updates are because older parts aren't avaliable anymore, but if they are for real, I have to wonder what the heck are they thinking as graphics is the last problem this game has.As several have said and it has pretty much gone ignored the PS3 players aren't the only ones affected by this. Those running older PC configurations that are even newer than the PS3 are getting left behind as well. The min specs for Stormblood are greater than what my older PC can handle, which is far newer than the PS3. Granted I upgraded last year as it was getting old, but as you all have pointed out upgrading your PC is actually FAR more expensive than just simply buying a PS4. So in reality the PS3 players actually have a bit of an easier time than those getting locked out because their PC is too old, and yet newer than the PS3.
As I stated earlier in the thread the min on the graphics part is being pushed up to a min of a GTX 750. Before I upgraded to a GTX 970 I was running a GTX 680, which within reason could handle the game and far better than a PS3 could. That said it still is no longer a viable card with the new min specs, though that card is still good on other games like Overwatch. It is just simply a difference in graphics ideal.
